Trump's Doctrine

President Trump's National Security Doctrine:
1. Protecting the homeland and way of life  2. Promoting American prosperity  3. Demonstrating peace through strength 4. Advancing American influence in an ever-competitive world.
The Trump strategy sets a new course in line with his campaign promises to place “America first” and do away with “political correctness.”
Trump’s strategy will differ from Obama’s by not only naming “jihadist” terror threats, but putting them front-and-center.

The primary transnational threats Americans face are from jihadist terrorists and transnational criminal organizations. To combat this modern danger, the administration will call for stronger homeland security and missile defenses that aim to “pursue threats to their source, so that jihadist terrorists are stopped before they ever reach our borders.” NOW, IF YOU HAVE OPPOSITION TO THESE STATEMENTS, THEN YOU HAVE FAILED TO UNDERSTAND THE THREATS THAT SEEK TO DESTROY AMERICA BOTH FROM OVERSEAS AND RIGHT HERE I…

Poll is Revealing

Congressional Democrats might be confident about 2018, but a poll shows the American people think they don’t stand for anything but opposition to Donald Trump. A Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that a decisive majority of respondents – including 55 percent of independents – think that the Democratic Party only stands for one thing: opposing the president. Even 27 percent of Democrats agree that their party doesn’t stand for much else. But despite being perceived as having no definite opinions aside from “resisting” the president, that doesn’t mean the American people are opposed to returning liberals to power: the Democrats lead the generic ballot poll by 8.9 percent, according to the Real Clear Politics average. So, despite the obvious, indoctrinated folks will continue to vote for the party that has NOTHING TO OFFER! They are totally missing the fact that Trump is, in fact, the most conservative president since Reagan, that he has already transformed America in the 10 months as presi…

Never-Trumper Realizes The Truth

"As a former Never Trumper who only came on board because of Mike Pence, I am beyond pleased with the job that Trump has done for our country.  If Trump had just nominated Neil Gorsuch and gotten through a few good judges, we’d all be calling his presidency a success after the first year. If all Trump did was get ANWR drilling passed in the first year, we’d be calling this one of the major pieces of legislation in the past 50 years.  If all Trump and the Republican Congress did was to pass tax reform in 2017, we’d be pleased at the first real tax rate cut since the Reagan years.  And if all Trump had done was to get the repeal process of Obama Care in motion (i.e. repeal of the individual mandate) conservatives would be pleased. However, Trump has done all these things and so much more.  The whiny crybabies at CNN don’t want you to know these facts, nor does that loser Bill Kristol, but Trump has been the most consequential President since LBJ – and Trump has only been President f…

Another Incoherent Response

"Several weeks ago, a sharia-adherent muslim named Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a truck into pedestrians in New York City killing 8 and wounding several others.
New York's Deputy Police Commissioner John Miller said the attack had nothing to do with Islam. "This week, a sharia-adherent muslim named Akayed Ullah wore an explosive vest that prematurely detonated, wounding Ullah and several others.
On the CBS Morning Show this week, John Miller said:
"(Ullah) was not particularly struggling financially or under any known pressure...was not on our radar at the NYPD, not on the FBI radar."
Translation:  "We have no idea what the motive could be."
Miller continued:  "He's somewhat characteristic of what we've seen across the world, which is somebody who turns up one day out of the blue."
Out of the blue?  Is this a serious response.  If NYPD believes this jihadi simply turned up out of the blue, it necessarily means there is no hop…

Merry Christmas, but be Careful!

Christmas is on everyone’s mind, but don’t forget to use your back correctly to avoid having a miserable bed-ridden holiday! Check out how to do it in my orthopedic guide:

Some Of You Don't Know Me!

Many of you have no clue who I am even though you have received or read my blog in the past, so here goes:

My name is Thomas Neviaser, MD. Yes, I'm a physician, a retired one. I started my own practice in Vienna, Va in the early 1970's and retired in 2004. It was evident that retiring was going to be boring if I didn't get interested in something so I might have gone a bit overboard since then.

I've been hunting with and training labs for quite while before retiring so it was a no-brainer to continue. I joined with Dave Knowles to start a Class A construction company in 2006, Creative Construction & Consultatants, Inc. in Culpeper, VA. I wrote several small books and self-published them in the late 1990's.

I published THE WAY I SEE IT: A Head-to-Toe Guide to Common Orthopaedic Conditions in 2016 after 5 years of research and editing. This guide is written for the layperson and not for medical people. It discusses 90 common bone and joint problems seen every day. I…

When will Americans realize the Democrats will do any vile and heinous action or deed to regain power and have control over us? Their goal now is accusing anyone they DISAGREE WITH of sexual misdeeds whether they are true or not. They know that, in this ignorant and gullible society we live in, any disgusting accusation will be considered true. Even when proven false, it makes no difference to them. They continue on and on as if it were, and Americans believe them!!

Democrats know they have NOTHING TO OFFER but chastising, accusing, manipulating, lying, and publishing fake news to see if Americans are swayed by these purposeful lies and deceit. Just take time to watch and listen with a thoughtful mind. Listen to Schumer pontificate on how every bill presented by the GOP is "FOR THE RICH!"
Then the media takes what he says and repeats it over and over dumbing down your minds …

“A new Quinnipiac University poll shows yet another perspective on the deep racial division in our country. According to the poll, 86 percent of blacks compared to 50 percent of whites say that President Trump does not "respect people of color as much as he respects white people." However, the partisan divide is even greater than the racial divide. Ninety-one percent of Democrats compared to 12 percent of Republicans agree with the statement that President Trump is racially biased against people of color.Bottom line: What we call a racial divide today is really a partisan divide. Consider the remarks of Rep. John Lewis, who decided to not attend the opening of the new Civil Rights Museum in Mississippi because Trump announced he would attend. Lewis called Trump's attendance "an affront to the veterans of the civil rights movement." Or the president of the NAACP who also announced he would not attend because of Trump's attendance. NAACP President Derrick Johnson…

"Gun buyback programs are a waste of time. Why? Very simply because the people most likely to commit crimes with guns aren’t getting them legally anyway. So, with a buyback program, effectively what you are doing is giving criminals an incentive to steal a gun and, then, turn it in for profit. Easy money for them. Why wouldn’t they just do this over and over and over? So, buyback programs simply don’t keep guns off of the street. Unfortunately, some people simply do not understand this. For example, a gentleman in Buffalo, New York, has the idea that giving kids toy guns makes those kids want to have guns as adults. So, he has started a gun buyback program for toy guns. No, I’m not kidding. Robert Farago writes, “WHATEVER YOU PUT IN A CHILD’S HANDS THAT’S WHAT HE FEELS COMFORTABLE WITH AND YOU PUT A TOY GUN IN HIS HANDS AT AN EARLY AGE AND WHEN HE GETS OLDER HE’S GOING TO WANT THE REAL THING,” SAID LEONARD LANE, PRESIDENT OF BUFFALO F.A.T.H.E.R.S ORGANIZATION. THAT’S WHY LANE IS…

Democrats At It Again!!

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland were two of many House Democrats trying in vain to keep the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act from passing this week, and they were willing to resort to outright lies in their effort to do so. Actually, that’s not quite right.

Pelosi surely told a few fibs on her way to arguing against the bill, but she saved her biggest whoppers for Twitter after theHouse passed it 231 to 198. At that point, she took to social media and gave us this load of elephant

Er, no. Nothing in the concealed carry bill would allow any of the named groups to start buying guns or even having guns, which is already prohibited by law. This bill does not address the legal rights of those groups of offenders, much less roll back the bans already in place for felons of that nature.  Pelosi is either demonstrating how little she knows about the bill she just voted to stop (unlikely, but possible) or she is lying through her teeth to make her l…

Professor Readies Millennials For Life

Law Professor To Students: If You Say 'I Feel' Rather Than 'I Think,' You Must Cluck Like A Chicken
By Hank Berrien
November 27, 2017

A professor of law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, has had enough of millennial studentswho rely on trendy terms so they can deride the wisdom of the ages.Adam MacLeod, associate professor of law at Jones School of Law,wrote an articlefor The New Boston Post in which he published a speech that warned his first-year law students he would not accept any words ending in “ism.”
MacLeod’s preamble to his speech stated, “For several years now my students have been mostly Millennials. Contrary to stereotype, I have found that the vast majority of them want to learn. But true to stereotype, I increasingly find that most of them cannot think, don’t know very much, and are enslaved to their appetites and feelings. Their minds are held hostage in a prison fashioned by elite culture and their undergraduate professors. They cannot learn …

"Yes, you read that correctly; we are at war. We are at war with people who wish to do Americans harm.  No matter the motivation, reason, scope or method; in the grand scheme of things, those factors are not important.  The fact that we are at war is real and troubling. What is more troubling however is that a substantial portion of Americans and politicians don’t grasp this. Nor do they grasp that individuals have a natural right to defend themselves in this war. It is difficult to understand why so many are working to impair our ability to defend ourselves by restricting the possession and use of firearms. An absolute lack of critical thinking among anti-gunners may provide some explanation. It is more difficult to understand this philosophy in politicians, however. It may run the gamut from the most sinister reason—that a disarmed populace is easier to subjugate, to the more benign—that voters expect their elected leaders to do something, anything. To put things in perspective, …

Have you ever been bullied? At school possibly, by a car dealer, by a mortgage broker, a salesman, or your sibling? What did you do about it? Did you fight back, get into their face and express disdain for their actions? I doubt it. It's not in our nature, now, is it? Very few of us will face up to the bully. I did in junior high school and got beat up, but in high school, I did again and won. I was never bothered again by either even the guy who “whooped” me.
You see, bullying is only successful through the intimidation that comes with it. Intimidation comes in all sorts of sizes. The bully could be bigger, taller, more aggressive, speak angrily with physical attributes or facial expressions and body language, all of them intimidating and menacing to many kids in schools. The majority of those in school quickly find out who the bullies are. Subsequently, they stay out of those kids' way, never speak ill of them, and some join them to avoid the consequences.
That is why many pe…

Millennials' Flawed Thinking

Millennials' Flawed Education

As you probably know, there was a survey or poll or whatever you want to call these silly "questionnaires," verbal or not, that came to the conclusion that 47% of millennials would want to live with socialism or communism.

Unfortunately, the survey folks didn't give them the definition of these terms and left it to them to use their indoctrinated brains to form their communal definitions.

So, socialism probably translated to "being social" or "sharing on social media." As for communism, they would probably translate that term to "community," you know, "community organizer" or "community benefits," all these soft, pleasing words that have been purposely and repetitiously used to sway young minds away from the actual definitions.

Hey, Millennials, socialism doesn't mean "people being given the ability to choose for themselves" no matter what you learned in school. Socialism is…
                               IT WAS INEVITABLE

Recently, the National Review voiced their opinion that Virginia’s election was all about what Virginians thought about President Trump and what he was doing. In fact, the reason for the Democrat win was predictable and may well be for many years to come, no matter who is POTUS and what he does.
You see, America is divided. There is no question that some are conservative in nature and some are liberal. I don’t think anyone can make a fuss about that although I’m sure someone can and will. But, in the overall scheme of things some people are and some lean right and visa versa. As for anyone truly in the center, I doubt, with appropriate questioning, that person would be found truly a centrist.
So, as I said, we have conservatives and liberals. In short, conservatives want less government, lower taxes, safer country and borders, individual responsibility, and the freedom to make their own choices in healthcare, guns, and how they live wit…

(I’ll be back next week)

Finance Committee Chairman Offers Tax Reform Amendments to Senate Proposal Late yesterday, November 14th, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin G. Hatch released a Chairman’s modification to the Senate tax reform bill. While the 103-page document does strike a few proposals and modifies a number proposals, the bulk of the document is devoted to the addition of new proposals to the bill. Some of the included modifications and additions are provided below, the full Chairman’s modification can beviewed here. New proposal to reduce the amount of the individual shared responsibility payment enacted under the ACA to zero effectively repealing the individual health mandate, effective after December 31, 2018Modification of the 17.4% deduction for certain pass-through income by removing the 50% of W-2 limitation for taxpayers with taxable income below $500,000 (MFJ), $250,000 (others); and to allow the deduction to taxpayers with income from a specified service business with taxable income be…

154 Years Ago Today

President Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address on November 19th, 1863. It's widely regarded as one of the famous speeches in history, but how much do you know about it? Try your hand at these four trivia questions about 272 words that proved a speech doesn't have to be long to be memorable...

Who Wrote the Speech for Lincoln?

Today, whenever a president gives a speech, you know that it has been written by a professional speechwriter - someone who actually studied the art of public speaking and knows the mechanics of delivering a great speech. But in 1863, things were done a little differently. It was, in fact, Abraham Lincoln himself who wrote the Gettysburg Address - every word of it. He finished the speech the night before he gave it and spoke from the heart. That's why it is still so powerful today.

Why Is This Speech So Famous?

Lincoln could have made the speech all about defeating the South and winning the war, but he did not. Instead, he geared the speech toward …
