133 Democrats vote "Present?"

Democrats vote "present" " How to Troll 101 : Amid calls from the far-left to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement, House Republicans brought a resolution to support ICE to the floor and forced Democrats to go on the record as to whether or not they support immigration enforcement. Democrats denounced the bill as a stunt and tried to make the issue about separating families at the border and “the children,” but it still passed. For the record – and trust me, you will hear this record quoted from now until Election Day – the vote was 244-to-35 with 133 Democrats ducking the issue by voting “present.” But in a larger sense, when it comes to defending America from invasion by drug gangs, human traffickers and other criminals, are they really “present” at all?" Mike Huckabee So it's perfectly fine for 133 "elected" officials who are in the House to do the work they were suppose to do because their constituents expect it to do nothing but

The Death Of Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn’t always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults are in charge not children). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of an 8 year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves

Having A Gun Is Being Civilized

THE GUN IS CIVILIZATION    "Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another:   reason and force .  If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force.  Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception ... r eason or force, that's it .  In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through  persuasion .  Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction … and the only thing that removes  force  from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.  When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force.  You have to use  reason  and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.  The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on eq

Did You Know About Paul Revere's Counterpart!

"When young people don’t know their rights, where those rights came from, and how much was sacrificed to secure them, it’s easy to convince them to trade them away for empty promises of comfort and security.  These days, students barely learn the most basic facts about American history, let alone all the great stories you discover when you dig into the details.  This seems like the perfect week for a lesson in how America came to be born.  And I’ll try to put it into terms they can relate to.  Maybe – possibly – today’s students can identify Paul Revere (although I doubt they had to memorize the poem, the way we did.)  But how many know there was another heroic midnight rider who warned that the British were coming, only this one was a teenage girl from Duchess County, New York?  She’s just one of many American heroes that kids don’t learn about because modern textbooks scrub history of everything interesting or inspiring to promote trendy social and political agendas that down
