Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish

Democratic Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts announced Monday that he will not seek re-election in 2012, ending a 32-year career in the House.

Frank, the top Democrat on the Financial Services Committee, will leave a political legacy most likely highlighted by the sweeping Wall Street regulatory reform that he drafted with former Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) which was enacted last year. The Dodd-Frank bill clamped down on lending practices and expanded consumer protections in an effort to prevent a repeat of the 2008 economic meltdown.This horrendous bill has added more problems to the private sector and small businesses with an inordinate amount of rules and regulations that make it impossible for businesses to get out from under the already oppressive air of the finanacial crisis.

The 71-year-old Congressman has also been recognized as the Nation’s most powerful openly homosexual elected official. Frank was involved in a scandal two decades ago when he used his Congressional status on behalf of a male prostitute whom he had employed as a personal aide.

“I should have known better. I do now, but it’s a little too late,” Frank said. Yes, it is too late!! Nothing definitive was ever done about his improprities. He has laughed and snubbed Americans by showing how powerful he has become. It is a disgrace that this man has continued in Congress this long. Massachusetts' citizens should be ashamed of themselves for their support of such a low life representative.

I must say, “’I'm impressed. Frank has figured it out.” He will lose the next election, so he is getting out. He has been a thorn in the side of all Americans for years, and he, of all people complicit in the financial crisis, is the one who should have been prosecuted and placed in prison. Just the fact that he is not in prison proves how corrupt our Congress is. He is a disgusting little prevaricating deceitful individual, and America will be better off with him somewhere he can’t hurt us anymore.

Unfortunately, Maxine Waters could be his replacement, a woman who probably can't add 2 and 2. She, a loose cannon with a big mouth on just about every liberal and socialistic issue, will also be a disaster as the elite Democrat of the FSC.  We do not need a mirror image of Barney Frank sitting on this important committee.
