A VA Delegate Nails It

Regarding Gun Control and Why A Real Discussion isn't possible!

"The Democrats want more background checks and getting rid of bump stocks... If you're wanting another reason why we can't have an honest debate about this one is because, quite frankly, I don't think any of us, on this side of the aisle, believe you when you say that's all you want to do.

It will be bump stocks, it will be background checks, it will be a different kind of background checks that register the guns...

Then, after that, it will be 'We need to ban assault weapons.'

What's an assault weapon?

Something that looks scary.

Then, after that it will be semi-automatic rifles, then it will be semi-automatic hand guns. Then it will be revolvers, shotguns...

Because when your policies fail to produce the results you were promising your constituents, you will be back with more reasons for why we've got to infringe on Second Amendment rights." Nick Freitas (Delegate R) VA, Republican candidate challenging Tim Kaine (D) Senator from VA 2018.

Mr. Freitas is correct: that Democrats do not want gun control, they want CONTROL. There were 168 mass shootings under Obama and the Democrats never did anything, but now, all of a sudden, they are hell bent on the gun control road, exploiting children, accusing the NRA, bashing Trump, attacking the gun not the person behind the gun.

Face it, it is not the people they are interested in. They want power and control and total confiscation of arms in the hands of everyone in America; however, they are unable to wrap their failed policies around the fact that when no one has a gun, criminals always will.

Have you heard the Democrat leaders talk about safe rooms in classrooms, total lock systems, bulletproof doors, arming school personnel without placing some negative connotation on any of these ideas? Why? Just as I have said, "They are not interested in prevention other than removing all guns, a policy that has proven not to prevent mass shootings."

These politicians, who believe government intervention is always the way to go, are living in a fantasy world believing that removing guns will eliminate school shootings "because, ultimately, in this last school shooting we had a perfect example of government being engaged over 30 times and still failing to provide security for those students."
