Obama Needs More Docs, But....

The success of health reform hinges on hiring 30,000 primary care doctors by 2015, says the Washington Post. It
goes on to say that doctors will make more money if they specialize. For instance, a radiologist will receive $193
from Medicare reimbursements per hour whereas a primary care doctor will receive $101.At the same time, these
doctors come out of training owing approximately $200,000 in educational costs, so it is no wonder they specialize.

With Obama pushing more than 30 million people into the government paid healthcare, there will be a need for
more physicians. Everybody agrees on that, right? Well, not so fast. First of all, if there are still more doctors
specializing to make more money, there will be less primary care docs. So, with the low number still evident,
Obama will probably want to reduce the qualifications for physicians to obtain a primary care licenses; hence, more foreign born and educated docs arrive on our shores to give inferior medicine. It will be only a game of numbers,
not adequate care.

Now to the nitty gritty. Primary care doctors are trained superficially in all aspects of medicine. They will know a
little of everything, but not a lot about a lot. Essentially, they are the jack of all trades and masters of none. This is not to belittle primary care physicians. It is only a statement of fact. They can not be trained to know everything or else they would never be out of training. In some specialities, such as Orthopedic Surgery, the major text book,
Campbell's Orthopedics, is more than 4 volumes large, each volume contains over 1000 pages. They are filled with
the most up-to-date information about the common orthopedic conditions, not the uncommon. There are a
multitude of text books dealing with specific treatments and surgeries, all of which can and will change almost
every year. No one physicians can know it all. That is why there are specialties and sub-specialties.

Primary physicians are not trained extensively in orthopedics, internal medicine, urology, gynecology, dermatology, endocrinology, general surgery, hematology, oncology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gastro-enterology,
pathology, pulmonology, neurology, or neurosurgery. It is impossible for these docs to treat everything like Obama would have them do so, yet, there are non-medical individuals who, despite their complete and utter ignorance of
the facts, continue to spout the need for primary physicians and less specialists.

They have no idea, no clue, no evidence that can possibly lead them to their conclusions except one fact:
PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS ARE LESS COSTLY THAN SPECIALISTS.
The bottom line of it all is cost. Reducing costs will solve everything except one thing:
ALL HEALTH CARE WILL SUFFER, BE RATIONED, AND WILL BECOME INADEQUATE

THERE ARE BETTER WAYS. MANY PEOPLE KNOW IT, BUT IT'S THE POLITICIANS WHO ARE
STANDING IN THE WAY WITH THEIR ERASURES AND CALCULATORS.

Should I have written an article similar to the following piece, imagine the names I would have been called. Imagine how the media would have vilified me and attacked me personally as a racist and a bigot.
However, I have instead decided to quote Mychal Massie, the chairman of the National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives- Project 21:

Three significant historical events have been eclipsed by Obama: 1) Jimmy Carter will no longer be looked upon as the worst president in American history; 2) Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will no longer be recognized as the greatest liars in presidential history; 3) Clinton's stain on Monica's dress, and what that did to the White House in general and the office of the president specifically, will forever pale in comparison to the stain and stench of Obama.

I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on
every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal
Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him – some even more harshly
than this essayist – but they have called for him to step down.

Richard Nixon's words "I am not a crook," punctuated with his involvement in Watergate, and Bill
Clinton's finger-wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, in the aftermath
of Obama, will be viewed as mere prevarications.

Mr. Nixon and Clinton lied to save their backsides. Although, I would argue there are no plausible explanations for doing what they did, I could entertain arguments pursuant to understanding their rationales for lying. But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn't only lie to cover his misdeeds – he lies to get his way. He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense. He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife. He lies and bullies to keep his background secret. His lying is congenital and compounded by socio-psychological factors of his life.

Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is
the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his
presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the
bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood.

As the stock markets were crashing, taking with them the remaining life saving of untold tens of thousands, Obama was hosting his own birthday celebration, which was an event of epicurean splendidness. The shamelessness of the event was that it was not a state dinner to welcome foreign dignitaries, nor was it to honor an American accomplishment – it was to honor thhe Pharaoh, Barack Hussein Obama. The event's sole purpose was for the Pharaoh to have his loyal subjects swill wine, indulge in gluttony and behavior unfit to take place on the property of taxpayers, as they suffer. It was of a magnitude comparable to that of Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski's $2 million birthday extravaganza for its pure lack of respect for the people.

  Permit me to digress momentarily. The U.S. Capitol and the White House were built with the intent of
bringing awe and respect to America and her people. They were also built with the intent of being the
greatest of equalizers. I can tell you, having personally been to both, there is a moment of awe and
humility associated with being in the presence of the history of those buildings. They are to be honored
and inscribed into our national psyche, not treated as a Saturday night house party at Chicago 's
Cabrini-Green.

  The people of America own that home Obama and his wife continue to debase with their
pan-ghetto behavior. It is clear that Obama and family view themselves as royalty, but
they're not. They are employees of "we the people," who are suffering because of his failed policies.
What message does this behavior send to those who today are suffering as never before?

What message does it send to all Americans who are struggling? Has anyone stopped to think what the
stock market downturn forebodes for those 80 million baby boomers who will be retiring in the next
period of years? Is there a snowball's chance in the Sahara that every news program on the air would
applaud this behavior if it were George W. Bush? To that point, do you remember the media thrashing
Bush took for having a barbecue at the White House?

  Like Nero – who was only slightly less debaucherous than Caligula – with wine on his lips Obama
treated "we the people" the way Caliggula treated those over whom he lorded.

Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead,
they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life,
failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife
view their life at our expense as an entitlement – whiie America 's people go homeless, hungry and
unemployed.

There has been such an uproar and many articles already written about Clint Eastwood's Super Bowl Ad for Chrysler. I saw the ad and had no idea what this old man was trying to say. A bailed out auto company telling us that its product is wonderful because Detroit has bounced back up? Have you seen Detroit, a city run by Chicago style democrat bosses who have decimated the town? There are kudos from Axelrod, Pfeiffer, and even Gingrich! Rove was offended. But, everyone is being distracted from the real issues.

Unemployment is not really decreasing. Obama continues to lie everyday.
The manipulation and intentional mismanagement of labor statistics is abominable and so transparent.
We should be exposing the the Obama administration for what it is:

Some 2 minute ad in the middle of a football game should not be able to distract Americans from their ultimate goal, getting our country back from corrupt and deceitful people who only want power unto themselves, period.

Unemployment Tricks: Jobs Claim Made by 'Shrinking' Workforce

Last week, the White House claimed that unemployment dropped for the fifth consecutive month to 8.3 percent — the lowest it has been in nearly three years — after adding 243,000 jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

But financial experts are saying the figures may have been manipulated — and that the significant drop in employment was because of the fact that the federal agency charged with computing key economic data has significantly decreased the number of Americans in the workforce.

“If you hold the workforce participation rate constant over the past year, unemployment would be about 8.9 percent instead of 8.3 percent,” GOP economist Matt McDonald of Hamilton Place Strategies said Monday on CNBC’s Squawk Box. "So it is a weird number that is out there, and I think people have to be looking at that carefully.”

(And if you held it steady since Obama came into office, the unemployment rate would be 15% and the underemployment rate would be 18.7%)

The same Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report that showed unemployment dropping to 8.3 percent showed total workforce participation — the number of people either working or looking for work — declining by 1.2 million people in one month.

The unemployment rate is determined by dividing the number of unemployed job-seekers by the total labor force. By reducing the number of workers in the overall workforce, the Obama administration can show actual unemployment dropping, when, in fact, improvement has been marginal at best.

Many economists feel the official statistics seriously underestimate how bad the unemployment situation really is. They maintain that the key measure is the number of people who would like to have a job, but can’t find one.

When people retire from the workforce because of the aging of the nation’s population or give up looking for work because of prolonged unemployment, the BLS declares the unemployed person a “discouraged worker.”

At that point, the BLS lists them as “marginally attached to the workforce,” and they no longer are considered to be part of the nation’s working population.

Dropping them off the employment calculations keeps the unemployment rate substantially (and artificially) lower than it would be otherwise and has been key to the (numerically inflated) improvements in the unemployment numbers during the past year.

Tyler Durden of Zerohedge.com writes: “It appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million.”
In fact, Zerohedge notes that BLS is breaking records in claims about the shrinking workforce. The most recent unemployment number was based on the assertion that the entire U.S. workforce has shrunk to a 30-year low.

An analysis by Joseph Curl of the Washington Times shows the labor force as a percentage of the available population hit 66 percent in October 1988, and remained there throughout the presidency of George H.W. Bush. It then reached 67 percent or better for 40 straight months during President Bill Clinton’s presidency, and was above 66 percent for virtually all of President George W. Bush’s presidency.

But by the end of President Obama’s first year in office, it had dipped to 64.6 percent, before dipping to just 63.7 percent last month — its lowest point in almost three decades.

One analyst who is stridently critical of the BLS numbers is TrimTabs.com CEO Charles Biderman. His firm uses what he considers a more modern and timely measurement, actual tax receipts to the IRS, to calculate employment.

By his firm’s calculations, the economy added only 44,000 jobs in January (not 243,00), not even enough to keep the unemployment rate from growing.

The BLS numbers "are just guesses,” Biderman tells Newsmax. “I don’t know whether they’re politically motivated or not." (Now that's being politically correct. Of course, it's politically motivated.)

The White House is doing "cartwheels" over the positive jobs numbers being promulgated from the BLS, the Christian Science Monitor says.

"These numbers will go up and down in the coming months, and there's still far too many Americans who need a job or need a job that pays better than the one they have now,” President Obama said. “But the economy is growing stronger.”

BLS spokesman Gary Steinberg tells Newsmax that the bureau publishes its methodologies for calculating the unemployment rate online. While its tweaks its various formulas to keep them up to date, he states there has been no major change in how the rate is calculated in over a decade.

“The definitions have not changed . . . if someone is not actively looking for work for the four weeks preceding the reference week, they’re not in the labor force,” he says. “That was true years ago, and it’s true today.”

(Since January 2009, the BLS said more than five million people have dropped out of the labor force -- the greatest decline in American history and the lowest participation rate in more than three decades. Only about six in 10 adult American civilians are counted as part of the labor force. The WH continues to confuse the issue by saying, through Jay Carney, the decline in the labor force is because the youth are going back to school, and , in the same breath, it is because Americans are getting older.
Geez, All of a sudden, Jay??)

For those of you who can not understand why Obama and his administration tell you the unemployment rate is slowly decreasing and, at the same time, you hear others say the unemployment rate is increasing, the answer is here, clear and factual. Someone has gone to the trouble of having Abbot and Costello come back from the grave and explain it to you.

COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America.
ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It's 8.3%.
COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?
ABBOTT: No, that's 16%.
COSTELLO: You just said 8.3%.

ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how you get to 8.3%. Otherwise, it would be 16%. You don't want to read about 16% unemployment do ya?
COSTELLO: That would be frightening.
ABBOTT: Absolutely.
COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means they're two ways to bring down the unemployment number?
ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.
COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?
ABBOTT: Correct.
COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.
COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to just stop looking for work.

Only 7000 Words, Part 2

After reading more of the 2012 State of the Union and trying to absorb the "same old-same old" from his 2010 and 2011 State of the Union speech, I was again reminded of the overt blatant lies included in Obama's speech. it is amazing to me that this man thinks he can repeat his false facts over and over and expect America to believe the. Yet, there are those of us who do and who will. Why? They either are blind and deaf to the obvious going on in Washington, or they do not have the where-with-all to read, listen, absorb, and think about what this flimflam man is saying.
For instance:
1. He speaks constantly and repetitively about his "pro-energy" and jobs agenda. His agenda is SOLAR, an entity that is growing slower that our sickening US economy! He has already burned billions of dollars on this failed policy. Solar will never be able to energize this oil based economy of this country. He knows it and we know it, but his disdain for the oil community and oil itself is overwhelming except for the fuel he uses to fly around the country campaigning and vacationing. On top of this, he vetoes the Keystone XL Project which may well produce overall 100,000 related jobs.
2. His ban on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico is on its way to costing America over $4 billion and 19,00o jobs.
2 .He calls for less government regulations , yet he and his puppet agencies as the EPA continue to slap on more and more regulations.
3.And again, as usual, he blames the Republicans and demands the payroll tax cut be extended when the Republicans were the ones that wanted it extended for 1 year, not 2 months.

No Global Warming? OMG, Say IT Ain't So!

We have been bombarded by the global warming activists for decadresnow. Spurred on by the idiocy of Al Gore and a documentary full of misinformation and twisting of the actual facts, our country has been thrown into a cauldron of boiling rules and regulations that feed on each other and force intelligent people to believe in and finance "green" commerce. We have been told over and over that there is a consensus of opinion of "scientists" who KNOW there is global warming. Well, it ain't so, folks!!

"No Need to Panic about Global Warming

In September, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Ivar Giaever made waves when he publicly resigned from the American Physical Society (APS). In an explanatory letter, Giaever focused on the APS's inexplicable belief that the existence of global warming was "incontrovertible." In so doing, Giaever joined a growing sect of scientists that has doubts about climate change, says an editorial signed by 16 scientists in the Wall Street Journal.

Strikingly, data over the course of the last decade shows no evidence that the globe is gradually warming.
Further beyond that, in the 22 years since the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, warming has consistently been below projections.

The immediate question then becomes apparent: if there is little data to support the global warming claim, why would certain communities of scientists continue to insist on its existence? The answer is that, though there is little evidence to suggest global warming's impact, many concentrated parties continue to benefit from a public that believes in it:

Academic research teams garner public funding to find effective solutions to the global warming "problem."
Businesses that specialize in maneuvering complex governmental tax and regulatory structures thrive in those environments while competitors flounder.
Nonprofit foundations can pull enormous private support for crusades against a nonexistent global force.

So long as private interests exist that benefit from this deception, and so long as scientists exist who will perpetuate its continuation with little data, this false alarmism will continue.

Furthermore, the costs of this ruse are not isolated to small private interests, but are diffused among the nation at large. Politicians, who are pressured by the aforementioned private interests, demand costly policy solutions to a non-problem. However, a recent study of a wide variety of policy options by Yale economist William Nordhaus showed that nearly the highest benefit-to-cost ratio is achieved for a policy that allows 50 more years of economic growth unimpeded by greenhouse gas controls.

This speaks to the lack of compelling data for the existence of global warming or its negative effects on the daily lives of humans."

Will The Final Four Re-Elect Obama

The GOP debates are no longer about America or against Obama and his sick policies. Newt and Mitt are beating each other up to the delight of Obama and the MSM media. The democrats are hoarding plenty of old and new ammunition to blast the GOP candidate while Obama continues unfettered and unvetted, sitting fat and happy in the Oval Office.

Mitt felt he was floating easily to victories in SC and FL. Now he is not so sure. Why? Newt attacked him. He may well get FL, but he has changed his modus operandi debate style to an attack on Newt instead of staying on message. Florida is a winner-take-all state where only registered Republicans can vote in the primary. So, winning here is a big step. The race is statistically tied. What should a candidate do now?

The problem here is that the GOP has no truly passionate candidate who remains solid on his issues and all subjects brought up. Ron Paul does have these attributes, but his foreign policy scares people although there is some good there as well.Unfortunately, the GOP has to bring in as many independents as possible, and the bickering rather than in depth dissecting of Obama's failed presidency has the propensity to hold independents back, at least for now .I don’t see one candidate fighting to expose the insincerity and despicable record of Obama.. Santorum has seized upon the one-on-one fight between Mitt and Newt and stayed pretty well on his message, but his coffers are minimal and may be too small to get his message out, especially in FL.

My advice to these men is to stick to the issues that will sink Obama. His lies, his ineptitude on many decisions made in office, especially the Keystone Pipe Line, his record on spending, his continued unabated increase in government regulations and pure size of it, his record on the devastating national debt, his continued attack of the Constitution, his weakness in foreign affairs, abysmal Obamacare and how it will affect the already dwindling health care in America, and his socailist/Marxist ideology and people with whom he surrounds himself. One will remember his stating that he will need more agencies and committees to control his policies in the State of the Union message while at the same time calling for reduction in the size of government. There are so many more issues here at stake, and the GOP allows these two just to scream and taunt each other to the point that the public can't believe in anything they say. This soft peddling on Obama's record will re-elect him in November.

However, there is a catch here. Thank the Lord. Obama and his lemmings can’t spend a dime on anything if Congress doesn’t appropriate it. The Constitution clearly specifies that every spending bill must originate in the House of Representatives. If enough Tea Party favorites retain their seats and enough new ones join them, the House can hold up any appropriations it wants. And if the GOP can regain the Senate, which it is on the verge of doing, maybe we can get a grid lock on Obama and tie his hands for another 4 years; however, it will be difficult maybe excruciating, to hear his voice every day for that period of time.

I am a member of a republican group in my area, and I have seen the some old guard rigidity and protection of power even in the lower echelons of the GOP. There is a inner desire to keep that power that overrides the betterment of America. This type of self centered seeking of power definitely exists higher up, and this is exactly what needs to be eliminated with new blood and passion for a more prosperous America.

There could be a possibility of a veto proof Senate. How glorious would that be for America. This is where we must put our money. Money and donations of time for Republican senatorial candidates will benefit America far more than propping up the presidential candidate. I believe that our future definitely lies in the Senate races where we must win the majority and go on to have 60 Republican senators to fight off vetoes from the Occupier-in Chief.

I would have liked to have seen true Americans like Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels, Haley Barbour and a bunch of others I could name? I am not enthused by the final four, but I will back the winner for sure. We lost in 2008 with a loser of a candidate, didn't we. Will we do it again? I believe the possibility looms quite large.

Get involved. Know the issues. Study your senatorial candidates. Ask the tough questions. Elect the most conservative, young, aggressive and well spoken people you can. We need to not only reactivate our base but minimize the old guard and its archaic mentality.

Kudlow Wants Bain To Restructure A Failing Company

"There’s a very troubled company out there called U.S. Government, Inc. It’s teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. And it badly needs to be taken over and turned around. It probably even needs the services of a good private-equity firm, with plenty of experience and a reasonably good track record in downsizing, modernizing, shrinking staff, and making substantial changes in management. Yes, layoffs will be a necessary part of the restructuring.

A quick look at the income statement of this troubled firm tells the story. Just in the past year (FY 2011) the firm spent $3.7 trillion, but took in only $2.2 trillion in sales revenues. Hence its deficit came to $1.5 trillion.

Just in the first three months of the new year (FY 2012), the firm’s troubles continued. Outlays for all purposes came in at $874 billion, but income was only $554 billion. So the shortfall was $320 billion. No hope of a self-imposed turnaround here. Indeed, both the senior management and the board of directors show no signs of making major changes to their business strategy.

Hope for future profits? That’s out of the question. The firms only chance of survival is a takeover.

Worldwide employment for U.S. Government, Inc. is estimated to be over two million, a completely unmanageable number for a venture like this. Total compensation for this company is roughly twice the level of its private-sector counterparts. And its retirement and health-insurance benefits are so large in relation to contributions paid that its benefit plans are careening toward insolvency.

In fact, the total debt of this firm now equals its total income -- an unsustainable position that suggests to many observers that future financing needs will not be met.

The product line of this troubled firm has been rejected over and over by growing segments of its customer base. And its product pricing (taxes) is not even remotely competitive. Even worse, heavily unionized work rules and regulations are so onerous that the prospects for even reasonable productivity and efficiency are long gone.

Its credit rating? That’s been marked down, with more downgrades expected in the future.

The very troubled U.S. Government, Inc. had long been either number one or in the top three worldwide in terms of economic freedom. But as a result of all these deteriorating conditions, it has fallen four years in a row in this category, slipping all the way to tenth. In fact, over the past ten years, the firm has barely grown and its share price has been flat. Without the kind of radical change that comes from a takeover and turnaround, more economic slippage is baked in the cake.

Restructuring this company seems a hopeless proposition. But wait a minute. There’s a highly regarded private-equity operation located in Boston that has a good (but not perfect) track record in turning around hopeless ventures. Though there have been failures for this firm, notable successes include Staples, The Sports Authority, Domino’s Pizza, and Steel Dynamics.

Anyone operating in business knows full well that even the smartest reorganizing firms are prone to failure as well as success in our free-market capitalist system. But the customer base of the troubled U.S. Government, Inc. seems like it is desperate enough to go the takeover route.

Some are concerned that private-equity specialists are too hard hearted. But in these tough times, people are willing to take a risk. That even includes the current CEO of the failed U.S. Government, Inc., one Barack Obama. He just announced plans to merge the Department of Commerce, the Small Business Administration, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. In other words, he’s borrowing a private-equity tactic.

Alas, this move is way too small and way too late. Much more radical surgery will be necessary.

At a recent family election in New Hampshire, the former head of the Boston takeover firm, one Mitt Romney, emerged victorious with a sweep of all the key voter segments. Sounding like Ronald Reagan on the evening of his victory, the former turnaround CEO expressed confidence that the troubled U.S. Government, Inc. could be saved. He was even optimistic.

But he warned that if family members expected a bidding war for more unpaid-for benefits with excessive price tags, well, he wouldn’t be the man for that job. Tough measures would be necessary instead.

So now the question is, will America, Inc. ask this former turnaround CEO to prevent the bankruptcy of U.S. Government, Inc.?

Wind and Solar Power Production - Any Benefit to Us?

"Though wind and solar energy have received enormous government subsidies for years, each remains relatively insignificant in terms of its contribution to aggregate energy production. The low market share of these forms of energy speaks to the fact that the necessary technology for efficient implementation does not yet exist, and that advocates are essentially swimming against the market current, says Benjamin Zycher, a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.

Renewable electricity generation from all nonhydroelectric sources was only 3.6 percent of total U.S. generation in 2010.
Despite this small energy share, non-hydroelectric production received 53.5 percent of all federal financial support for the electric power.
Wind power alone, providing 2.3 percent of generation, received 42 percent of such support.

Wind and solar renewable energy have failed to take off despite government support because they face substantial market impediments. First, their energy production is relatively concentrated and requires as a result large amounts of land per unit of energy.

A wind farm with a theoretical generation capacity of 1,000 megawatts (MW) and a generous generation capacity of 35 percent would require 144,000-192,000 acres.
The land requirement problem for solar thermal facilities is of sufficient importance because most analyses assume a maximum generation capacity of 50-100 MW, which, conservatively, would require approximately 1,250 acres.
In contrast, a 1,000 MW gas-fired plant requires about 10-15 acres; conventional coal, natural gas, and nuclear plants have capacity factors of 85-90 percent.

Wind and solar energy also face a broader geographic challenge. Because they're located primarily in the Midwest and the Southwest, respectively, they are far from the coasts where most electricity is consumed. This creates significant transmission costs. One survey of 40 transmission studies for wind projects conducted from 2001 to 2008 finds a median transmission cost of $15 per megawatt hour.

These forms of energy face additional market obstacles as well, such as challenges to industry-wide economies of scale and inconsistent production.

For these reasons, the total market has not embraced wind and solar."

It is your job to research this statement and review the studies that maintain that methane from the middle of the earth, being forced up through dense rock formations and compressed, actually produces oil. There are studies that tend to disprove the fossil fuel theory, and it is only a theory, born in the 1940's and never challenged.

Just think about it. If oil was only a byproduct of degenerating plants and animals, why is there so much oil under the Gulf of Mexico where the depths of water are enormous? How did all those plants and animals get down there? How could they have lived in that environment?

WHEN - people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were taught to sing his praises, people said it didn't matter.   

WHEN - he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, people said it didn't matter.   

WHEN - he surrounded himself in the White House with advisors who were anti-Second Amendment, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage and wanting to curtail freedom of speech to silence the opposition, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN - he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn't matter.   WHEN - he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN - he played 91 rounds of golf on the tax payers dime and his wife spent over $4 million of our taxes on a vacation and took a separate plane to Hawaii, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN - the democrats led by Harry Reid in the senate stood by while he shredded the Constitution, issued executive orders to bypass Congress, and illegally appointedinterim positions of power to his cronies, people said it didn't matter.

Congress' Wealth Increases While Americans Suffer!

CBS News states that Members of Congress have historically been wealthier than the average American, but the net worth of lawmakers on Capitol Hill has jumped considerably in recent decades, two new analyses show.

"From 2004 to 2010, the median net worth of members of Congress jumped 15 percent, the New York Times reports. In that same period, the net worth of the richest 10 percent of Americans held steady while Americans overall saw their median net worth fall 8 percent.

An analysis from the Washington Post shows that from 1984 to 2009, the median net worth of a member of the House more than doubled from $280,000 to $725,000 in inflation-adjusted 2009 dollars, excluding home equity. The average American family saw its wealth slightly decline in that same time frame.

Earlier this year, as part of CBSNews.com's United States of Influence series, Hotsheet explored the reasons why members of Congress are unusually wealthy: To start with, political campaigns that have become increasingly costly to run. Once in office, members of Congress enjoy access to connections and information they can use to increase their wealth, in ways that are unparalleled in the private sector. And once politicians leave office, their connections allow them to profit even further.

The level of wealth in Congress stands in stark contrast to the economic challenges that many Americans continue to face.

The Times asked the offices of all 534 members of Congress if they had close friends or family members who had lost jobs or homes since the 2008 downturn. Just 18 members responded, 12 of whom said someone close to them had been laid off or had to shut down a business. Half said they had a close friend or relative who lost their home.

In an October 2011 CBS News poll, 34 percent of Americans said the economic downturn has caused major life changes for them and their family, while 46 percent said the downturn has been difficult but did not cause any major life changes.

The Post notes that the growth of income inequality has correlated with political polarization in Congress. In a report earlier this year on the growing income inequality within the U.S., CBSNews.com noted that studies show senators are more responsive to the preferences of upper-income constituents." On top of all of this, Congress has exempted themselves from any prosecution for insider trading giving them the ability to make massive amounts of investments ordinary Americans can not! Yet, they can't seem to pass any significant legislation benefitting Americans and are only in session for half the year.

There is something very wrong with this scenario, and it will only take Americans to vote out the trash and bring in people willing to protect the Constitution and honestly work to improve the country we all hold so dear.

This should start this November and start by voting in at least 7 if not 14 new Republican senators to break the cement wall of legislation passage created by Harry Reid.

Do You Want Schools To Indoctrinate Your Child?

Do you know about Sen. Al Franken's bill S. 555 and Rep. Jared Polis' bill H.R. 998. "These are federal legislations that require schools to teach homosexuality and the acts performed by homosexuals. These bills will indoctrinate American children with a homosexual agenda and will diminish traditional values of American society."

These bills actually will tend to be recruited by homosexual perverts in public schools. Franken has a video in which he blames suicide among homosexual teens on school bullies and he leans heavily on this as he gains support from misinformed representatives who now support his bill.

If these bills are passes, teachers will be forced our children to accept homosexuality rather than traditional values of their parents. Your children will be sexually "re-educated." In Washington, D.C., homosexuals are pushing pro-gay bills on elementary children very quietly. Franken and his group are trying to re-educate innocent and gullible children to believe that homosexuality is a good way of life rather then understanding the man and woman relationship that is the cornerstone of American culture.

The following reasons are why such bills should never be passed.

Parents, and parents alone, should educate their children about the morality of sexual preferences and identity, not the government, and not pro-homosexual educators who recruit kids in violation of their parents’ religious values.
School should remain an unbiased place of learning for all our nation’s children. These two bills are not unbiased since they force pro-homosexual views on families who oppose them.
Schools should be safe places of learning. These bills endanger our children and give special protected rights to perverts while denying the majority of children the right to express moral or religious opposition to the inherent immorality of the homosexual lifestyle.
Most children in the early grades of education have no idea what sex is, let alone what alternative sex is. These bills will force prematurely force sexual topics on young children causing confusion and warping their minds against the wishes of their parents.
Equal rights is at stake here. Everyday children are denied religious freedom in school for praying or taking pro-Jesus stands in schools because a small minority is offended, yet these bills propose to offend the vast majority of American families.

Obama/EPA Find Another Reason to Destroy America

"The U.S. has more than 1.4 trillion barrels of recoverable oil reserves; 1.7 trillion barrels when combined with Canada and Mexico. That's enough for 250 years of U.S. consumption according to the IER, and more than the entire world has used in the previous 150 years.

Additionally, the North American continent has 4.2 quadrillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas reserves – enough to last the next 175 years at current rates of consumption according to IER. Once upon a time, back in the days of Jimmy Carter, the environmentalists were encouraging more usage of natural gas as the "clean" alternative to coal and oil. However, that has grown out of fashion with the go-green purists including Barack Obama, who prefer to funnel hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars into pie-in-the-sky green energy boondoggles like Solyndra while discouraging and even eliminating oil and gas production at every opportunity.

Since we didn't run out of oil and gas (as Carter hysterically pronounced), and the whole global warming thing stalled, the latest fear-strategy adopted by the radical environmentalists is to attack the technology – hydraulic fracturing – that is behind our ability to harvest the massively greater amounts of energy resources.

Hydraulic Fracturing – or "fracking" – has greatly expanded the recoverable reserves of oil and gas. Fracking has been used since the 1940s in over a million wells, and the technology continues to be improved and refined.

As defined by The Geological Society of America, fracking involves pumping liquids down a well into subsurface rock units under pressures that are high enough to fracture the rock, creating a network of interconnected fractures that will serve as pore spaces for the movement of the oil and natural gas to the well bore to be lifted to the surface.

When combined with horizontal drilling, fracking has turned previously unproductive reserves into some of the most abundant fields in the world such as the Marcellus formation in Pennsylvania, the Bakken in North Dakota, and the Niobrara in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas. In recent years, environmentalists have relentlessly attacked fracking claiming it might cause groundwater contamination, even though in virtually all cases the fracking is done hundreds or thousands of feet below ground water levels. And, since few people have even a slight understanding of the geology or the technology, public perception is easily influenced and the media is often a willing co-conspirator in fanning the hysteria.

To be sure, there is some risk involved with fracking as with any mechanical process. However, when asked directly during a Senate Committee hearing in May, 2011 even EPA Administrator Lisa Jacksontestified that she was "not aware of any proven case where the fracking process itself has affected water." Jackson came to the EPA with a well established reputation as an environmental activist and has pursued that agenda aggressively at the agency. Other EPA officials have previously offered thesame testimony to Congress.

Still, the radical left's quest continues with a public relations war raging against fracking technology. Jackson's EPA is moving forward toward new federal regulations, even in the face of heavy pushback from states that historically regulated energy development operations within their borders.

The liquids used in the fracking process are virtually all water and sand mixtures – as much as 99.5% according to published reports. The Geological Society of America explains that the small amount of chemicals are used to thicken the water into a gel that is more effective at opening fractures, reduce friction, prevent corrosion of equipment, control pH, and kill bacteria. "Proppants" – usually aluminum or ceramic beads – are also added to "prop opened" the fractures once the fluids are removed so the oil and gas can escape. Until recently, energy companies have guarded their formulas as proprietary secrets, but public pressure and new regulation are causing them to make public their ingredients.

That ground water can be and has been contaminated is a given, and in many cases, fingers have been pointed at the energy industry and specifically at fracking technology. But, as EPA Administrator Jackson admitted, in spite of scores of investigations, there is no scientific evidence linking any ground water contamination to fracking. But, that doesn't stop some in the Obama Administration from pushing their agenda forward to satisfy a core constituency.

In west-central Wyoming, the small town of Pavillion has complained about water quality and possible contamination for years. In fact, the U.S. Geological Survey detected organic chemicals in Pavillion's well water 50 years ago, long before any fracking was done in the area. But, when somebody suggested the water quality problems might be linked to the gas wells the EPA jumped in and started a study three years ago.

On December 8, 2011 the EPA published a "draft report" of findings suggesting that there may be a connection to Pavillion's water problems and fracking. Why the agency chose to publish a report that had not been subjected to independent peer review or even by state officials in Wyoming is a question that answers itself. "The agency is dominated by anticarbon true believers, and the Obama Administration has waged a campaign to raise the price and limit the production of fossil fuels," opined the Wall Street Journal. Environmentalists and many in the media rejoiced – and the movement got the headlines they longed for:

The Governor of Wyoming, Matt Mead, was quick to respond and he certainly should have both the health of his citizens and the state's industry paramount in his mind. On the day the EPA report was released, Mead called it "scientifically questionable" and said more and better testing was needed before anyone could reach a definitive conclusion. Most concerning to Gov. Mead was that the EPA based their conclusions "on data from two test wells (not operating water wells) drilled in 2010 and tested once that year and once in April, 2011. Those test wells are deeper than drinking wells," the Gov. said, causing him and others to wonder how the EPA could reach their conclusion.

Mead had appointed a working group to study the Pavillion problem that included local residents, state agencies, Indian Tribes, the EPA and the BLM. But, the EPA didn't even make their report available to the rest of the group until shortly before releasing it to public. A highly critical house editorial in the Casper Star-Tribune on Dec. 26 said, "…process and politics have trumped good science…The EPA's process-oriented almost ho-hum approach does a disservice to Wyoming whose residents need answers about their water, and whose economy hinges on the safe and successful practice of fracking."

In a feature editorial, the Wall Street Journal stated the obvious, that everybody wants clean drinking water. "But we also need to be sure that regulators aren't spreading needless fears so they can enhance their own power while pursuing an ideological agenda." The WSJ summarized many of the same questions and concerns that Gov. Mead and others have raised about the EPA report:

The EPA study concedes that "detections in drinking water wells are generally below [i.e., in compliance with] established health and safety standards." The dangerous compound EPA says it found in the drinking wells was 2-butoxyethyl phosphate. The Petroleum Association of Wyoming says that 2-BE isn't an oil and gas chemical but is a common fire retardant used in association with plastics and plastic components used in drinking wells.
The pollution detected by the EPA and alleged to be linked to fracking was found in deep-water "monitoring wells"—not the shallower drinking wells. It's far from certain that pollution in these deeper wells caused the pollution in drinking wells. The deep-water wells that EPA drilled are located near a natural gas reservoir. Encana Corp., which owns more than 100 wells around Pavillion, says it didn't "put the natural gas at the bottom of the EPA's deep monitoring wells. Nature did."
To the extent that drilling chemicals have been detected in monitoring wells, the EPA admits this may result from "legacy pits," which are old wells that were drilled many years before fracking was employed. The EPA also concedes that the inferior design of Pavillion's old wells allows seepage into the water supply. Safer well construction of the kind normally practiced today might have prevented any contaminants from leaking into the water supply.
The fracking in Pavillion takes place in unusually shallow wells of fewer than 1,000 to 1,500 feet deep. Most fracking today occurs 10,000 feet deep or more, far below drinking water wells, which are normally less than 500 feet. Even the EPA report acknowledges that Pavillion's drilling conditions are far different from other areas of the country, such as the Marcellus shale in Pennsylvania. This calls into question the relevance of the Wyoming finding to newer and more sophisticated fracking operations in more than 20 states.

Of the EPA's report, the Star-Tribune said, "If it's not sloppy science, it's poor policy." And, the editors go on to make the damning accusation that "the Pavillion study is not about science, (but) about politics."

For an administration committed to perverted energy policies that drive fossil fuel prices higher in hopes that increased energy costs will make green-energy more attractive, all this increased oil and gas production creates a real problem. Because of increased supplies, natural gas prices fell to their lowest level in over two years. You might think that lower consumer costs would be well received at the White House, but not in an administration committed to implementing policies to get America's energy prices "to the levels in Europe," as Energy Secretary Steven Chu admits.

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has banned drilling on millions of acres of federal land. Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe says 83 percent of all federal land is already off-limits for energy development, and Salazar is constantly adding more. Where he can't ban it, he makes it ever more difficult to get leases and permits to drill. Legislation passed by Congress in 2005 reaffirmed that Congress wanted the states, not the federal government, to regulate gas drilling, but that doesn't stop this administration. As mentioned above, the EPA wants to muscle the states out of the way, and assert federal control and restrict fracking. The Pavillion report helps them make their case. North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple says the EPA restricting fracking "would have huge economic impact on our state's energy development. We believe strongly this should be regulated by the states."

That more is in play with the Pavillion report than just clean water for 160 Wyoming residents is pretty obvious. Steve Forbes says the Obama Administration is repeating the mistakes of the Carter Administration's failed energy policies, and has already established "the most anti-oil and gas record in U.S. history." While there may eventually be proven some connection between gas wells and water contamination in Pavillion, we have to wonder if the Administration hadn't already reached a conclusion about fracking and the energy industry, and was just looking for a convenient excuse to help them make the case.

As a candidate for President, Obama pledged that good science would guide policy in his Administration, but his actions belie his words. He says he's for jobs and for economic recovery, yet he dithers on approval of the Keystone Pipeline. Obama claims "Last year…oil production from federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico reached an all-time time high," but his own energy department reports production in the Gulf is down by 300,000 barrels per day after his misguided moratorium. He spews the radical left's lie that "we only have 2 percent" of the world's energy reserves when numerous government and independent reports prove America has vast resources if only our government would let them be harvested.

My dad often warned me about people who "would say one thing, but do another."
That's the kind of President and Administration that is in Washington now.

So, if you heard Barack Obama last month say that his administration is "all in" for domestic energy production;

Believe just the opposite.

Expect more debilitating, delaying, costly regulation.

Expect more federal land and off-shore reserves to be put off-limits.

Expect more "sloppy" reports like Pavillion designed to move a political agenda.

And, expect billions more of borrowed dollars to be squandered on false green-gods like Solyndra in order to mollify and reward his political cronies.

This isn't about science, and it isn't about good government.

It's just despicable politics: Obama style."

His decision not to let the Keystone oil line project go forward and allowing the Canadians to sell their oil to China, I sincerely hope, will be his downfall in the November elections.

Since the unions have no one else to vote for except this foreigner-in-chief, his decision is for one reason and one reason only: he wants to keep his environmental bozos on his side and they are cheering his decision.

Is Medical Care Doomed?

"BAIL'EM OUT!!! ???? Hell, back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang

Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to
run it. They failed and it closed. Now, we are trusting our economy of
our country, our banking system, our auto industry and possibly our health
plans to the same nit-wits who couldn't make money running a whore house
and selling whiskey?!"

 "What the Hell are we thinking?"

 One of my colleagues noted that I was Nostradamus-like in predicting that
Panetta was brought in to gut DoD.  (I don't think Panetta does this
willingly.  He is a skilled bureaucrat and is one of the few people around
that could take on the task though and he is a "good soldier."  That may
seem a paradox but I think it is true.  Panetta will save what he can but
Obama et al are hell bent on gutting the US Armed Forces to pander to their
leftist base.) It gives me no pleasure to be right on this.  What this
administration is about to do to the DOD is reckless endangerment and what
it is about to do to soldiers and dependents is unconscionable.  So much for
the integrity of the US on its promises to its warriors.

 What hasn't hit home to all yet is that there is going to be a downsizing of
the military and return of many soldiers to the workforce in an abysmal job
market.  Many of these folks will need specialized care for things 
and as we've already seen the VA is not able to get the job done timely or
competently and it is getting worse exponentially.  What you see now is
going to get worse quick as the VA budget takes a nose dive.

I just talked to a VISN Director who told me they just started implementing budget cuts

and that VISN Director had to take the majority of the Hospital Directors to
task in the network and realized that they had little idea how to deal with
and a strong denial component to even begin to deal with budget shortfalls.
Most had never experienced a declining budget!  This is a disaster in the
making.  Not only will returning soldiers have a hard time getting jobs,
employers that provide healthcare plans are fewer ever day and if they have
a vet with any problems they are not going to hire them and see the company
healthcare premium escalate if they can avoid it.  This will coincide with a
VA struggling to stay within a declining budget and a VA management
hierarchy that couldn't manage a 7-11 well.   

 Add to this the numbers of MDs that are beginning to retire early or quit
private practice and go to hospital and group based practice (in these
positions, MDs work for a salary for a defined work week as opposed as
working longer hours as needs be-this in effect with decrease the number of
work hours for MDs.  They will accept a smaller and fixed salary but like we
saw in the VA this quickly leads a strong incentive for doctors to
"organize" into Unions.  Beyond 8 hour days and 40 hour weeks you must pay a
premium that rapidly costs more that what the MD income was before.  It is
frustrating in the least and dangerous in the main when you find physicians
walking off the job at 4:00 PM leaving patients partially worked up because
their shift has ended.  Primary care MDs and surgeons are simply not going
to work 100 hour weeks for $85-100K/annum.

 This is happening in an environment which is slated to get 30+M
more patients in a few years!  I know I sound like a broken record but we
are watching the unfolding of an unmitigated disaster in American medicine.
I just spent days with hospital based folks and they are laying off nurses
and support personnel due to falling compensations in the face of burgeoning
workloads!!  Many are dropping expensive programs because the
Medicare/Medicaid compensation is falling-if they don't have the program the
government can't force them to take the patients.  We're talking bread and
butter care like hips and cataract surgeries!

 Our soldiers, retirees and dependents are a subset of the groups that are
going to need care but resources promised to care for them are going to get
hammered.  Turning to the VA for help is turning to a system which has been
lacking in leadership and accountability for a decade and it is a system
that is about to come under major fiscal duress.

This will unfold over the next few years, but even with a change in the

White House and a functioningCongress, if that is possible,

the impacts on health care due to what is already in motion and the paralysis

of health care organizations due to current uncertainties this is a runaway train

that is going to take years to put back in order if it ever can be restored to reasonable function.

         Medicine is just a microcosm within a much bigger environment."

"Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that emerged from the Department of Homeland Security in November, Washington has written permission to collect and retain personal information from journalists, news anchors, reporters or anyone who uses “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

According to DHS, the definition of personal identifiable information can consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.”

RT adds:

Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency.
Also included in the roster of those subjected to the spying are government officials, domestic or not, who make public statements, private sector employees that do the same and “persons known to have been involved in major crimes of Homeland Security interest,” which to itself opens up the possibilities even wider.
The department says that they will only scour publically-made info available while retaining data, but it doesn’t help but raise suspicion as to why the government is going out of their way to spend time, money and resources on watching over those that helped bring news to the masses.

According to RT, the website “Fast Company” reports that the NOC Monitoring Initiative has been in play since at least early-2010 and that the data is being shared with both private sector businesses and international third parties." The Blaze

Obama Bans Uranium Mining for 20 Years!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - "The Obama administration banned new uranium mining claims around the Grand Canyon for the next 20 years, a move hailed by conservationists on Monday as key to the president's environmental legacy but slammed by opponents as another one of Obama's job-killer initiatives. (Will this man stop at anything to crush the prosperity of this nation?)

The decision puts more than 1 million acres of public lands outside the Grand Canyon National Park off limits to all hard-rock mining for two decades, the longest moratorium allowed by law. Existing mining operations would continue.

"A withdrawal is the right approach for this priceless American landscape," Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said in a statement. "We have been entrusted to care for and protect our precious environmental and cultural resources and we have chosen a responsible path that makes sense for this and future generations."

The National Mining Association expressed disappointment, but stopped short of announcing an immediate challenge to the decision.

Uranium claims on public land near the national park have risen in line with soaring prices for this mineral, from fewer than 1,000 a year in 2005 to more than 8,000 in 2009, though annual claims have declined slightly since then, according to figures from the Bureau of Land Management.

"One of the things President (Barack)Obama's going to be remembered for is protecting the Grand Canyon," said Jane Danowitz of the Pew Environment Group, a non-profit organization that has pushed for the mining moratorium.

"Despite considerable pushback from the industry and even some in Congress, he didn't punt and he didn't blink and he went and issued the longest moratorium that he could under his executive authority," Danowitz said in a telephone interview.

The Pew group, the League of Conservation Voters, the Sierra Club, Earthjustice, the Center for American Progress and other environmental and progressive groups applauded the decision as protecting the Colorado River watershed, which supplies drinking water for 25 million people.

OPPONENTS CALL IT A 'POWER-GRAB'

Industry groups, typified by the Institute for Energy Research, opposed the decision as a big-government move that will hurt consumers.

"This latest power-grab by federal regulators is another example of the Obama administration's willingness to use ideologically driven energy policies as a means to control the U.S. economy," the institute said after the announcement.

Members of Congress from Western states, including Arizona Republican Senator John McCain, denounced the decision as "a devastating blow to job creation in northern Arizona."

Representative Doc Hastings, a Republican from Washington state who chairs the House Natural Resources Committee, accused the administration of "putting politics above American jobs and American energy security."

The main health risk from uranium mining is water contamination.

Grand Canyon tourism generates $687 million in annual revenue, according to the Outdoor Industry Association, and creates more than 12,000 full-time jobs, the University of Northern Arizona said in a 2005 study.

"Do you want mining in the vicinity of a tourist destination that's visited by 5 million people every year?" Danowitz said. "No, I think is the answer."

Yet, Carol Raulston, a spokeswoman for the National Mining Association, took issue with the decision and said the Interior Department's own analysis did not show environmental concerns at all with mining beyond the boundaries of the national park."

It seems Obama just wants to increase our electric bills to astronomical levels to dampen our productive output and keep our economy on the skids.

Could Ron Paul Be Right?

I have not been an absolute fan of Ron Paul, but I do want to understand the reasoning and rationale of his thinking to better evaluate him as a candidate for POTUS. I do like his domestic policies and his berating of the Federal Reserve which no other candidate will discuss with knowledge. On the surface, yes, his foreign policies seem radical and many tend to dismiss them as short-sighted, looney, and possibly paranoid, but there are many folks on his band wagon. Why is that? Are they looney, too? Or do they have an inkling of understanding how he has perceived why we are where we are. Could it be that our past policies have placed us in untenable positions?

"Any discussion of Ron Paul as a GOP Presidential candidate inevitably begets rants from the paranoids about how Paul’s non-interventionist foreign policy would make America vulnerable to attacks from Iran or Islamic extremists from one Muslim nation or another.

The truth is the U.S. policy of the past 50-plus years of meddling in the affairs of other countries by covertly backing coups, propping up friendly dictators and fighting proxy wars with Russia and China — using billions of dollars stolen from the American people — have only made the world a more dangerous place. Sadly, not more than three in 10 people seem to understand this. They’ve swallowed the lie that America’s overseas adventures are not empire building, they are simply making the world safe for democracy. They live in a state of confusion and cognitive dissonance.

What the U.S. and its European allies have sought is hegemony over the entire Mideast, not to establish democracy, but to control the oil and other resources there to the benefit of a few fascist elites.

In doing so, they have stolen our wealth; trampled our liberties; killed, maimed and left millions of people homeless; dropped bombs that destroyed infrastructure; installed and financed dictators who enslaved their populaces; and created hatred of America around the globe. And they have developed a majority U.S. population that is eager and anxious to attack and kill anyone who expresses displeasure with U.S. actions — even U.S. citizens — whether abroad or in country, and a Congress and a President that believe such a thing is acceptable.

It’s clear that U.S. policies in the Mideast have created blowback. Yet our government overlords and all but one of the GOP Presidential beauty contestants tell us that we must occupy Mideast nations, attack their citizens with drones, bomb them with NATO planes and place crippling sanctions on them in order to keep us safe.

We’ve been doing this to one Mideast country or another since 1990 (in addition to decades of backchannel and secretive CIA and non-government organization meddling in other countries’ affairs). Have 21 years of occupations, bombing and sanctions made us safe? No. They have made us broke and less free, and a whole new government entity, DHS, has been created and granted overarching unConstitutional powers to “keep us safe” because of it.

This is what Paul is saying when he says he wants to change U.S. foreign policy from one of empire and globalism to one of non-interventionism. Yet when he does, so-called conservatives get horn-mad.

During a recent GOP debate, self-proclaimed new front-runner Rick Santorum about came unglued when Paul said this, and he all but vowed to bomb the Muslim world out of existence on his first day in office. However, it doesn’t look like he will get his chance. President Barack Obama will have taken care of it prior to the election. As for Mitt Romney, he is simply a neocon, globalist puppet/echo chamber.

Americans have accepted as gospel that Iran is close to having a nuclear weapon. But reports of Iran’s nuclear capability are as dubious as similar reports were about Iraq’s nuclear capabilities — and are coming from some of the same discredited agencies and people.

Crazy is beating your head against a wall to cure a headache. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Stupidity is continuously buying into the lies of a consistently duplicitous Federal government.

It makes me sick to my stomach to hear the youth of this country whine about how they deserve more.

They have no idea the difference between a right and a privilege.

Recently, I heard an Occupier state that someone

should pay for his student loan, but when asked,

"Why", he stated, "Because that's what I want."

Our youth are lazy, ill-informed, apathetic, self-centered, spoiled,

and mindless floating in a sea of suspended animation awaiting gifts.

While texting on your smart-phones and self absorbed with your technologic devices, iPhones, iPads, iPods, etc, this administration is taking your freedom from you. Your apathetic and self centered ways are destroying your lives and you merrily march to your own drumming while people, who know you don't care,take advantage of your ignorance to inflate their egos and cement their power structure over you. When you want to receive something for nothing, you enslave yourself to the giver. The more you accept, the more you are enslaved, used, and expected to bow to that giver.
That giver is now Obama and his minions who now overtly grab power and defy you and our Constitution.
You are not the American of the past. You have sold your souls to what you believe is the easy life.
You are fools of the first order.

"They like to refer to us as senior citizens, "old fogies", "geezers", and in
some cases "dinosaurs." Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire.
Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower with aches and pains

these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard,
raised our children, worshiped God and grown old together. Yes, we are
the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true.
But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be
taken into consideration.

 In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us
to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what
outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days
of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered
to our homes. For those of you who don't know what an icebox is, today they
are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars
were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

 We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there
are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We
won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of
Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the
uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield.
We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America , we fought for the
"Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but
carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner,
America ,and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears
running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only
read about in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone
for America .

 Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one
good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died
for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is
going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all
enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There
are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders,
there is no way we are going to remain silent.

 It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the
Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was
nothing but "Hype and Lies." You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to
face, and have found you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise,
but most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social
Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting.

Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are hopefully now having buyer's

remorse. You didn't have sense enough to see through the obvious lies and instead drank the 'Cool-Aid.'

Now you're paying the price and complaining about it.

No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.

This is what you voted for and this is what you got.

We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and
a fancy house.

 Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2012
we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you
would like but we get where we're going, and in 2012 we're going to the
polls by the millions. This land does not belong to the man in the White
House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to "We the
People" and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We
hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it
along to our grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the

"The American people deserve to have qualified public servants fighting for them every day - whether it is to enforce new consumer protections or uphold the rights of working Americans," Obama said in announcing the appointments. "

So Obama appoints 3 well known union puppets to the NLRB.
Yes, this is "upholding the rights of the working American.

I suppose, in Obama's mind, that forcing workers to become unionized, forcing them to pay dues, forcing them to watch their dues being spent to elect democrats who will favor the union bosses, allowing intimidation and violence in the workplace and on the streets, and using taxpayers money to honor the unions' support of his regime is "upholding the rights of working Americans."

Obama is no longer hiding his real intentions of being a socialist and Marxist. Everything he does now and from here on out will be blatant and testing the resolve of true patriotic Americans.

In yet another presidential in-your-face obtrusive action that bypasses U.S. law, Obama used the device of a secret Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel opinion, dated in September and quietly released to the public on Christmas Eve, INTERNET GAMBLING. It would be like having a casino at everyone's fingertips, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your children can now become addicted without your knowledge.

Are you going to allow this man to single handedly destroy the American culture?

A Nice Change of Pace for My Readers - No Politics today

Whether or not I was in a sane state of mind at the time, I have bought a black lab puppy, Rixey, now 14 weeks old. Those sharp, little puppy teeth have just about crowned everything in the house often followed but a resounding "No" and "Leave it." All owners know puppies have this annoying habit of chewing, biting, ripping, crunching, pulling, and gnawing. It is really amazing how this pup can find things with her mouth. Just about everything I have is 4 feet above the ground, and yet, Rixey seems to continually find something that is not. I am grateful, at least now, that she stops when I scold her, and she has not ruined anything of value, yet. However, I will be on the lookout for such shenanigans, difficult as it may be.

I just happened to run across an article this morning titled "Teeth Marks" that deals with is very irritating habit. It starts with the usual message but the last paragraph really got to me because I remember fondly many of my dogs especially Pecos, Codi, Max, Teddy, Chrissy,and Petey and their teeth marks from years gone by.

Hanging on a nail in the wall of my den is a ball cap. Nothing special about it, a cheap one, really, with the plastic thing in the back that adjusts for size. That’s where it does get special, though, the reason I keep it. On the plastic band are tiny puppy teeth marks left by my setter Jess when she was eight weeks old and I made the mistake of leaving the cap within her reach – and for puppies, seemingly nothing is out of their reach. Jess. Dead and buried now twelve years, after living to be nearly fourteen.

Maggie the Lab was our worst chewer. She chewed to get even more than anything else, or maybe I should say to escape. Once when company came, I shut her in a downstairs bedroom. She shredded two square feet of carpet trying to burrow her way under the door. Once while I was in the backyard training Roxie the new Lab puppy, Maggie splintered and gouged an eighteen-inch section of windowsill trying to find a way to join in the fun. Maggie was my son Chris's dog, and we had an inkling of what she would be like her first hunting season. Chris parked his car on a country road and got out to scout some pheasant cover. When he came back, he found that she had dismantled the entire dashboard of his car, the remnants lying about in great slobber-covered chunks on the seat and the floor. Chris drove the car like that – the chunks reattached with duct tape - all the way through college. I think he had graduated and was on his own for three years before he could laugh about it.

I have a friend who tied up his setter pup to take a little snooze one October afternoon out in the woods after a morning woodcock hunt. He leaned his double – a low-grade Parker – against a tree and dozed off. As he snored, his pup passed the time gnawing on the gun’s grip. Naturally, my friend wasn't thrilled; he tried to erase the marks by refinishing the stock (I know about refinishing Parkers; but like I said, it was a low grade) but they're still visible, even today, eight years after that pup died in his arms at the age of eleven and a half. He looks at those teeth marks differently now. As we all do.

At the time it happens, you'd gleefully dice the dog up and use the pieces for salmon bait. After a time, you chuckle about it. Then too soon comes the day when those silken ears will never again be within reach, even though in your memory, you can still feel them; and you look at those teeth marks and be willing to give a lot to relive the moment they first appeared."

Osawatomie is where Teddy Roosevelt delivered his famous speech in 1910 calling for a “New Nationalism” and launching his campaign for a third presidential term (the quest led him to become the first Progressive-party candidate). Osawatomie was Roosevelt at his most progressive, and so it was for Mr. Obama. If there was any doubt before, it is now clear that the President has abandoned the center and doubled down on his progressive governing model."

The choice Obama frames is the same offered by progressives 100 years ago: between the harshness of market capitalism (defined in true straw-man fashion as you’re-on-your-own economics with “a free license to take whatever you want from whoever you can”) and the fairness of progressive nationalism (the view that “we are greater together—when everyone engages in fair play, everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share”). But things have to be made fair through more government programs and regulation. Obama’s program is fundamentally about the rise of a new governing class that insists on enforcing political and economic “fairness” rather than letting us govern ourselves.

At some point in every presidential campaign, there is a speech that defines the candidate and gives context to his policies. By turning to TR’s New Nationalism model, Obama has revealed once and for all that the intellectual antecedent of his administration is the progressive theory of governance. He is calling his party back to its most radical roots.

His objective as President is to complete the progressive transformation of America and define its next phase—let’s call it the Fairer Society—by more complicated and extensive government regulation of society and redistribution of wealth and benefits to produce “fair” outcomes.

As the national government becomes ever more centralized and bureaucratic, acting without constitutional limits, it also becomes more undemocratic, and more potentially despotic, than ever. And that's no American Dream."

"In the past five years, house prices have declined to 2003 levels, and the average home declined in price by 3.9 percent over the last year alone. National politicians are scrambling to reverse the trend. But the remedy lies in state houses and town halls, says Nicole Gelinas, a contributing editor to the Manhattan Institute's City Journal.

A house is worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it in monthly costs.
But when you buy a house, you're not just committing to a mortgage -- you are also promising to pay the future property taxes on that house.
What drives those local property taxes are the future costs of paying state and local workers and retirees, particularly retirees' pensions and health care.
These costs are going in one direction: up.

Unless state and local governments take steps now to reduce future costs, or unless they plan on suddenly repudiating their promises to their public-sector work forces one day, every dollar in unfunded pension and health care costs is up to a dollar less in the future value of a house.

Take one example, New York's Westchester County, the highest-taxed county in the nation.

According to the Tax Foundation, property taxes in Westchester average $9,044 annually -- up by $1,707, or 23 percent, in the five years from 2005 to 2009.
What if property taxes in Westchester were to increase by another 23 percent, to $11,124, in the next half decade, or even the next decade?
That's an extra $2,080 in annual costs per house, or nearly $175 every month.
Even after deducting these levies from his federal tax bill, a homeowner would end up losing $1,456 a year.
Families that considered buying a house would sensibly lop that extra amount off the price they are willing to pay -- and the seller would lose about $23,500 in investment value.

Yes, it's true that New York and New Jersey recently enacted caps on property-tax hikes, and California has long had such a cap. But unless state and local governments rein in costs, local governments will have no choices but to find a way around these caps." Daily Policy Digest

I was just loafing around the house the other day and started to think about some things that really didn't make any sense. So, I jotted some down and now there seems to be enough of them that I'm really confused.

Maybe, you could help me!

1. Where are Obama's girlfriends. I saw an email asking this and it really hit me. He did date, didn't he?
2. Where are Obama's college friends? Gosh, you would think someone would pop up and say he or she was a friend or acquaintance back when, right?
3. Where are the professors who taught him? You would think, most professors being LIBERALS AND progressive, would be so proud to say they educated Obama, right?
4. Where are some of the bosses or people or organizations, other then ACORN, who Obama worked for? Wouldn't at least one of them show up, beaming and state they hired him once?
5. How about some basketball buddies? Yeah, Obama liked to play basketball back when, but there aren't some guys he played with regularly? Just one?
6. And there is the absence of his photo in the Columbia yearbook when he graduated? What's that all about?
7. No one saw him at the college graduation, either. There had to be others graduating with him, correct?
8. Where are the photos of his wedding? Who was the best man, the maid-of-honor? Wouldn't they want the world to know they were a part of the Potus' past life?
11. Not one person has come forward to say he or she knew Obama EVER!! Someone has to be around who knew him, partied with him, drank with him, or smoked cigarettes with him, right? Didn't anyone ever eat with him? Did he always dine alone?
12.No one from the class of 1983 even remembers Obama or a guy named Sortoro from the Political Science/Pe-Law group of students. He didn't sit in the same lectures and classes with them? He didn't discuss issues with anyone then?
13. Now, we learn he has a Connecticut social security number and never lived in CT. There are 27 SS#'s under Barack Obama, but there is only one BO. If there were more, you know darn well he would be showing his face for all to see. What's that all about?
14. Why was he law license deactivated in 2002? I don't think there are a lot of lawyers who have their licenses deactivated after 15 years, do you?
15. How many people do you know who appear out of nowhere, no past history, all records sealed, $10 million spent to conceal any evidence of his past, and an obvious false, fraudulent, made-up, doctored birth certificate.

His refusal to allow the "truly shovel ready" Keystone Oil Pipeline Project is a most glaring evidence of his sick and perverted Marxist mindset. Jobs and the probability of lower gasoline prices and less dependence on foreign oil has been the hue and cry of America for decades. Now that we have the chance, we have a disdainful president mired in his own diseased
thinking, one man standing between America and a startup economy.

Costly Regulations Cost Us American Jobs

According to a September 2010 report from the Small Business Administration, total regulatory costs amount to $1.75 trillion annually—enough money for businesses to provide 17.5 million private sector jobs with an average salary of $100,000. As of 2008, small businesses—which have created 64 percent of all new jobs in the past 15 years—face an annual regulatory cost of $10,585 per employee, which is 36 percent higher than the regulatory cost facing large firms. Some of these regulations include requiring microwave manufacturers to measure the amounts of energy their products use in the “off” position, stricter regulations on the amount of dust on American farms or imposing a fee on tree sales to promote tree sales. Unfortunately, President Obama continues to make the burden worse. According to Republican staff estimates, the government’s health care takeover has already added 6,578 pages of regulations and Federal Register notices and the laws major provision don’t take effect until 2014. A recent study by the Heritage Foundation found that an unprecedented 43 major regulations were imposed in fiscal year 2010 with a total economic cost of $26.5 billion, the highest total since at least 1981.

According to the Joseph Mason study, the Department of Interior’s de facto moratorium of exploration in the Gulf of Mexico could cost 36,137 jobs. In addition, “more than 80,000 jobs could be lost due to EPA regulations targeting the cement industry.” Finally, EPA greenhouse gas regulations could cost 1.4 million jobs.

Too Much Government Spending Results in Too Few Jobs

In 2009, the White House claimed that if the $1.16 trillion (CBO estimates the cost of the bill will reach $814 billion and interest on the debt for the bill will be at least $347 billion) stimulus was approved, unemployment would not rise above 8 percent. In reality, unemployment is currently 9 percent and has been above 8 percent for 28 months. In the same report, the Obama administration claimed the stimulus would “save or create at least 3 million jobs by the end of 2010.” In fact, a new report by economists Timothy Conley from the University of Western Ontario and Bill Dupor from Ohio State University, found that the President’s failed stimulus “destroyed or forestalled roughly one million private sector jobs.” Instead of creating jobs, the largest stimulus bill in history crowded out private sector growth and cost Americans jobs.

Record spending, deficits, and debt by the Obama administration has created vast uncertainty for job creators and is keeping investors on the sidelines. In 2007, the last year under a Republican budget resolution, the deficit was $160.7 billion or 1.2 percent of GDP and it had decreased every year since 2004. According to President Obama’s FY 2012 budget, the deficit for 2011 will be $1.64 trillion or 10.9 percent of GDP. According to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, this runaway spending will destroy jobs and halt economic growth. Bernanke stated, “Expectations of large and increasing deficits in the future could inhibit current household and business spending—for example, by reducing confidence in the longer-term prospects for the economy or by increasing uncertainty about future tax burdens and government spending—and thus restrain the recovery.” Sadly, the President wants to double-down on our unsustainable path by borrowing $13 trillion over the next decade and spending $5.7 trillion over the next ten years just to pay the interest on borrowed money.

More Taxation Will Not Create More Jobs

The President’s budget for 2012 calls for $1.5 trillion in job-destroying taxes. The President says that the bulk of these tax increases would only impact the rich. But the fact remains that these tax increases will kill American jobs. More than 75 percent of America’s small businesses file their taxes as individuals. Half of them would suffer from a higher tax burden under the President’s proposed tax increases, hurting their ability to hire more workers and pay their current workers more. An increase in the top two rates would impact small businesses that employ approximately 22.5 million workers. As the National Federal of Independent Businesses said just months ago, “Raising the top marginal tax rate would have hit small businesses the hardest just when the country needs them to invest, expand and hire new workers.” Our outdated and complicated tax code, which boasts the second highest corporate tax rate in the world, has destroyed America’s global competitiveness. According to Cisco Systems CEO John Chambers, "We are dealing with a tax system that is a dinosaur. Every other government in the world has realized that the U.S. has it wrong. They’re saying, ‘I'm going to have lower taxes, period.’ That's what you see all across Western Europe, that's what you see in Asia in the developed countries.” (gop.gov)

He even can't say when the Iraq war is over. One day he says, “Today” and the next day, he says, “This Month.” He can not get himaelf to say the word, “Victory”, and when he give thanks to people who fought the war, 4500 Americans did not come home, he first listed the Iraqi people before our troops. He also had the audacity to invite a former Iranian Guard leader, respsonsible for 19 Americans dead in Saudi Arbia bombing to the White House for a ceremony “Ending the Iraq War.”

This man is a true embarrassment to America, and he really doeasn't care who knows it. He flaunts his Marxist and communistic ideology everyday like a high school cheer leading girl without the pompoms, using a teleprompter instead. Such an unvetted, unapologetic, self-centered, rigid, arrogant individual has never inhabited our White House, and hopefully never will for the future centuries to come.

It is my hope that Americans finally understand the enormous, purely emotional and very disturbing voting mistake they made in 2008, a day of infamy.

America's life line is an oil-based economy. Others may jump up, scream and yell about the benefits of solar, wind and ethanol, but there is no way these will ever, I mean ever, be alternatives to oil. We need it and we will need it for decadesand centuries to come. We have a great deal of it here in our country but Obama won't budge from his policy of “Screw America.” Now Cnada wants to bring our lifeline of fluid to the US and Obama again stands in the way.

Obama An Agent For OPEC?

TransCanada Corporation wants to build a pipeline that would transport tar sands crude oil from Alberta through Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska on its way to refineries on the Gulf Coast.

We are staring into the face of $180-per-barrel oil. Under President Barack Obama, the Nation is not producing enough oil and is importing far too much of it from potential enemies. This is a reckless game engineered by the President, because oil is America’s economic lifeblood.

It recently become apparent that Obama either does not understand the danger the country is facing or, worse, is willing to ignore it because he has conspired with Arab oil exporters to give them dictatorial powers over America’s energy needs and economic future.

The United States is critically dependent on imported oil, consuming almost 10 million barrels of foreign crude every day. That is about three times more oil than the United States imported 25 years ago. With Obama’s restrictions on further oil exploration, especially offshore, the United States may import 18 million barrels per day by 2020.

Petroleum is essential for the United States. With so many hostile governments selling it to us, it would be easy to think that Canada would be America’s energy oasis. The two countries haven’t had so much as a skirmish in 200 years, and more than any other nation, Canada has stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States. So close are the two peoples that I can’t tell the difference between being in Montana or Alberta.

Both Nations have Judeo-Christian values and common law borne from the Magna Carta. American and Canadian men fought and died together during the two world wars.

On the surface it seems like a pretty simple equation: Canada has 180 billion barrels of reserves, second only to Saudi Arabia, the kingpin petroleum producer and de facto leader of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.

Canada has a democratically elected parliament. The House of Saud is a desert fiefdom run by a few dozen billionaire princes. Whereas Canada has combat troops stationed in Afghanistan killing Muslim militants, Saudi Arabia provides tens of millions of dollars to Islamic terrorists bent on killing Westerners.

Beyond this, Canada has been a rock-solid energy supplier to the United States. In fact, thousands of Americans work in the Canadian petroleum industry, and there are hundreds of U.S. corporations that have a large stake in further developing Canadian petroleum. Scores of Canadian corporations are traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Conversely, Saudi Arabia has nationalized its oil properties, and it implemented two oil embargoes against the United States in the 1970s.

The President said last month: “Because this permit decision could affect the health and safety of the American people as well as the environment, and because a number of concerns have been raised through a public process, we should take the time to ensure that all questions are properly addressed and all the potential impacts are properly understood.”

The President doesn’t seem concerned that 1,661-mile pipeline would deliver 700,000 barrels per day of crude from the oil sands to the United States (not to mention the thousands of permanent jobs developed as well)

The United States will have to deal with the consequences of turning its back on Canadian crude. First and foremost, Ottawa is building closer trade ties with Beijing with a great deal of emphasis on a possible blueprint that would deliver Alberta’s oil sands to the West Coast, where it could be delivered via tankers.

Last month, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper met with Chinese President Hu Jintao about future Canadian oil exports to China.

Harper said: “This does underscore the necessity of Canada making sure that we are able to access Asia markets for our energy products.”

Canada is counting on China to be a key investor in Alberta’s oil sands projects and a big buyer of crude which would flow through a proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline if Canada encounters further opposition from the Obama Administration.

This will make the United States all the more dependent on Arab oil. You would think Obama would understand this.

The truth might be that he understands it all too well.

"The worst fears about "OBAMACARE" are now being realized in a decision on
Monday by the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MPAC), established by the
law to supervise $500 billion in Medicare cuts.  "MPAC, whose decisions have
the force of law, has voted to impose drastic pay cuts on all doctors under
Medicare and, by extension, under Medicaid (which tends to follow suit)".
The cuts will effectively reduce the real pay for specialists by 50% over
the next ten years --- including a 25% reduction over the next three years
-- and cut general practitioners' pay by one-third over ten years (and that
assumes that inflation stays down at 3% a year).

MPAC has ruled that specialists must accept a 6% cut in their fees per year
for each of the next three years followed by a seven year freeze in their
fees without any adjustment for inflation.  If inflation stays very low --
at 3% per year -- this cut amounts to an 18% cut in nominal pay and a 50%
cut in real pay for specialists.  General practitioners will face a ten year
freeze on their pay, reducing their real compensation by one-third assuming
ongoing low inflation.  Higher inflation, of course, would make the cuts in
real pay even more drastic.

"The consequences of the MPAC decision will be immediate and drastic":

* Many physicians, and many more specialists, will refuse to treat Medicare

patients.  It will become very, very difficult to see a cardiologist or an
oncologist or a gastroenterologist or OB-GYN specialist if you are on
Medicare unless you are willing to pay out of pocket or have the kind of
health insurance coverage from a private source that would reimburse for
their care.
 
* More and more medical care will be turned over to nurses or physician
assistants, and fewer people will ever get to see a doctor on Medicare.
 
* Private health insurers will follow in the footsteps of the Medicare
program and likely slash their fees as well.
 
* Fewer students will enter medicine, and a major shortage of doctors will
reduce the quality of medical care in America drastically.
 
The MPAC cuts will bring American doctors' incomes more into line with
European doctors who typically earn half or less of what their American
counterparts earn -- and deliver worse medical care as a result.

We have got to stop these MPAC cuts from taking effect.  The very future of
Medicare and of our entire health care system is at stake.  If they are
allowed to stand, Medicare will become akin to Medicaid or public housing --
a program for poor people who cannot afford to pay for medical care from
specialists outside the system."

Unions Explained

Many people do not really understand the unions and what they really try do. I have tried to explain that they were useful once, but now they seem to be overbearing and down right aggressive toward any company that has allowed them to enter the work space.

The mandated dues from the members are used to donate to politiciians who, if elected, will then negotiate with the unions for better benefits. The workers are really not a real part of the union other than those so loyal as to used as goons to intimidate the rest and other non-union people.

Companies understand the importance of good, loyal, and well paid employees. They become more productive when happy and believe in the company's aspirations and product. It is not as in the earlier 1900's. There is much more interconnection between management and staff.

Don't believe my premise above regarding unions and politicians? Keep reading, friend!

These powers and exemptions below were legislated in favor of the unions and their corrupt bosses. It is incredible that these privileges have been doled out without the knowledge of the publc. I am willing to guess that you, dear reader, do not have a clue as to the generous gifts that Congress has offered on a silver platter to unions. Despite the overall majority of Americans who are against unions, their wants and desires are not heard by our representatives. You see, there is a cozy give and take relationship with the unions and democrats. The unions fork over massive amounts of money for the representative's re-election campaign and once elected that representative is appointed to negotiate union bosses demands, a corrupt relationship as one has ever seen.

The unions are now down to only 19% of the working force being members, and it must, either by hook or crookedness, get more members despite most workers not desiring to give up their hard earned money for dues spent to elect democrats.

Now take a look at the privileges these unions have especially #1.

*Privilege #1:	Exemption from prosecution for union violence. The most egregious example of organized labor’s special privileges and immunities is the 1973 United States v. Enmons decision. In it, the United States Supreme Court held that union violence is exempted from the Hobbs Act, which makes it a federal crime to obstruct interstate commerce by robbery or extortion. As a result, thousands of incidents of violent assaults (directed mostly against workers) by union militants have gone unpunished. Meanwhile, many states also restrict the authority of law enforcement to enforce laws during strikes.
Privilege #2:	Exemption from anti-monopoly laws. The Clayton Act of 1914 exempts unions from anti-monopoly laws, enabling union officials to forcibly drive out independent or alternative employee bargaining groups.
Privilege #3:	Power to force employees to accept unwanted union representation. Monopoly bargaining, or “exclusive representation,” which is embedded in most of the country’s labor relations statutes, enables union officials to act as the exclusive bargaining agents of all employees at a unionized workplace, thereby depriving employees of the right to make their own employment contracts. For example, the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) of 1935, the Federal Labor Relations Act (FLRA) of 1978, and the Railway Labor Act (RLA) of 1926 prohibit employees from negotiating their own contracts with their employers or choosing their own workplace representatives.
Privilege #4:	Power to collect forced union dues. Unlike other private organizations, unions can compel individuals to support them financially. In 28 states under the NLRA (those that have not passed Right to Work laws), all states under the RLA, on “exclusive federal enclaves,” and in many states under public sector labor relations acts, employees may be forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment, even if they reject union affiliation.
Privilege #5:	Unlimited, undisclosed electioneering. The Federal Election Campaign Act exempts unions from its limits on campaign contributions and expenditures, as well as some of its reporting requirements. Union bigwigs can spend unlimited amounts on communications to members and their families in support of, or opposition to, candidates for federal office, and they need not report these expenditures if they successfully claim that union publications are primarily devoted to other subjects. For years, the politically active National Education Association (NEA) teacher union has gotten away with claiming zero political expenditures on its IRS tax forms!
Privilege #6:	Ability to strong-arm employers into negotiations. Unlike all other parties in the economic marketplace, union officials can compel employers to bargain with them. The NLRA, FLRA, and RLA make it illegal for employers to resist a union’s collective bargaining efforts and difficult for them to counter aggressive and deceptive campaigns waged by union organizers.
Privilege #7:	Right to trespass on an employer’s private property. The Norris-LaGuardia Act of 1932 (and state anti-injunction acts) give union activists immunity from injunctions against trespass on an employer’s property.
Privilege #8:	Ability of strikers to keep jobs despite refusing to work. Unlike other employees, unionized employees in the private sector have the right to strike; that is, to refuse to work while keeping their job. In some cases, it is illegal for employers to hire replacement workers, even to avert bankruptcy. Meanwhile, union officials demonize replacement workers as “scabs” to set them up for retaliation.
Privilege #9:	Union-only cartels on construction projects. Under so-called project labor agreements, governments (local, state, or federal) award contracts for construction on major projects such as highways, airports, and stadiums exclusively to unionized firms. Such practices effectively lock-out qualified contractors and employees who refuse to submit to exclusive union bargaining, forced union dues, and wasteful union work rules. So far, just three states have outlawed these discriminatory and costly union-only pacts.
Privilege #10:	Government funding of forced unionism. On top of all of the special powers and immunities granted to organized labor, politicians even pour taxpayer money straight into union coffers. Union groups receive upwards of $160 million annually in direct federal grants. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. In 2001, the federal Department of Labor doled out $148 million for “international labor programs” overwhelmingly controlled by an AFL-CIO front group. Federal bureaucrats spend approximately $2.6 billion per year on “job training programs” that, under the Workforce Investment Act, must be administered by boards filled with union officials. A man who, through it all, was calm, cool, collected and went to work silently and effectively.

Weak, arrogant, insincere, hypocritical, and self-centered individuals don't.

EDITORIAL: An old soldier who won't fade away

Obama is outclassed and outsmarted by retiring Gen. Petraeus:

Gen. David H. Petraeus closed his phenomenal 37-year Army career this week with a joint review at Fort Myer in Arlington . Service members from every branch were present, and flags of all 50 states fluttered in the breeze. A substantial crowd had come to hear the general's farewell address. Many were classmates from the West Point Class of 1974, smartly attired but enthusiastic and occasionally whooping like they were cadets. Others were people with whom he had served over his storied career, whom he recognized from the dais during his speech. The morning was sunny and clear, and the general was his usual affable, ebullient self.

In his remarks, Gen. Petraeus recalled the days when he entered the military, when the Vietnam War was winding down and the armed services were being pared down to the "hollow forces" of the 1970s. "The Army I joined as a second lieutenant had suffered enormously," he said. "In the wake of our involvement in Vietnam , our Army and much of our military were grappling with a host of very serious challenges." The senior leaders who first wore the uniform in those dark days were not discouraged. They began their careers with a sense of mission. "I know I speak for many when I say that we came away from that period vowing to never let our forces get to such a point ever again." Through his efforts, and those of countless other visionaries in and out of uniform, the hollow forces were transformed once again into the finest fighting force in the world. Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, presided over the ceremony with William J. Lynn, deputy secretary of defense. Notably absent were Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta, whose former position as CIA director is Gen. Petraeus' next assignment, and President Obama. Their non-appearance did not sit well with some. "Obama should have been here," a warrior who served under Gen. Petraeus told The Washington Times. "And he should have invited [former President George W.] Bush. The general saved their bacon. Twice.

"Everyone has forgotten that in 2007 we as a nation had said, 'OK, we are going to lose Iraq .' And President Bush said, 'Well what if we win?' Petraeus rode into town and assembled an extraordinary team. His personal drive, his charisma, his optimism, his can-do spirit, all of that is what gave us hope that we could in fact turn Iraq around," our source explained. "And by September of '07, the progress had been dramatic enough that it became common knowledge to the American people that things were turning around in Iraq . Eight months earlier, a lot of people, including Obama, wanted to tuck tail and have another Vietnam ."

That's not all. "Here is the guy who saved our reputation as a nation. Seriously, who's missing this? And then he went to [Central Command] and was doing great things. And Obama asked him to take a functional demotion and go back to Afghanistan and save our bacon again," we were told. "To leave his family, to step down from a regional command, to take on that burden. And he said yes, and he did it. Petraeus was the right guy at the right time, he answered the call, and now he's being yanked out before we're ready, just like the troops are being yanked out before Afghanistan is ready."
So what's the reason for the White House about-face? "They are sending him to the CIA to keep him quiet during the 2012 election. It shows how small and scared they are. He is an honorable man, he has never expressed political ambition. But they saw him as a threat. He is an independent thinker, the finest military mind of his generation," our source posits. "What he suffers from is that he is more excellent than almost anyone he meets, to include the president. The troops love him.

There is a shameful indignity in how this hero was treated. "The president couldn't find the time in his schedule, nor could the [defense secretary] find the time to look him in the eye and say thank you in person," this warrior told The Washington Times. "It's one thing to say 'we support the troops' and trot out your first lady to do that, but this is where it counts. It would have been an appropriate gesture to come here to recognize the professional and personal sacrifice of this extraordinary man. It would have been the dignified thing to do."

Black Community, PLEASE BEWARE!

Obama has sent out his lemmings all over America to tell the black community, now, how much he has done for them. Of couse, he, as usual, doesn't realize that they have a deep disappointment over Obama’s failure to enact the kind of progressive agenda they feel they were promised in 2008.

So, in his own prevaricating style, he has outlined what great things he has done like Obamacare: unemployment compensation that has increased the national debt, and public education over hauls and encouraging minority entrepreneurship. The US test scores are the lowest they have been for a long time, and no one can start a new business with all the regulations that squash entrepreneurship.

None of these have helped the black community, period. He is just laying these falsehoods out there believing that the blacks will believe without evaluating the facts.

The message, being conveyed by his campaign workers and volunteers dispatched to beauty and barber shops, church halls and neighborhoods is simple: The president has improved the lives of everyday African-Americans, and that change has to be protected at the polls next year. “Just vote for me, and I will look out for you." He honestly believes that the blacks are stupid. He has no intention of changing his policies. He only uses this ploy to be re-elected. Some blacks are now starting to understand the true character of this man.

Obama made a point at last month’s day-long summit at the White House, telling participants that his legislative “done” list has kept “millions of folks out of poverty,” improved the lives of millions more and made significant investments in the future of black communities. OMG, improved the lives of millions??? This has to be the greatest over-exaggerations ever!!

He added a touch of the personal, noting that as African-Americans, “we know tough times. And what we also know, though, is that if we are persistent, if we are unified and we remain hopeful, then we’ll get through these tough times and better days lie ahead.”

Here's the word again,"Hope."You know full well what he is really thinking here:"BTW, I'll think of you as I vacation once again on your dime in Hawaii!!”

Obama and his campaign folks know that it’ll be tough to match the enthusiasm and passion the black community felt for Obama three years ago, when 2 million more black voters than ever before surged to the polls, sensing history was about to be made. Black turnout likely will play a crucial role in the president’s reelection bid. He knows this and that is why he is in full campaign mode of spin and lies.

“I don’t know if you’re going to get the heightened turnout,” said Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker, an Obama ally. “I think it’s going to be the challenge. In 2008, we had tens of thousands of new voters. Only a percentage of them have kept voting in [off-year elections]. I don’t know if that percentage will bump back up” to the record-high level of participation.

If the blacks realize what he has done to America over the last 3 years and really comprehend his true intentions to degrade the country financially as well as socially, he won't stand a chance to be #45.

OK, folks, I'm just so damn irritated by these statisitcs that are banted about all the time, the most recent being the unemployment rate dropping .4%. This is a bunch of hog wash. As once said, “you can do anything with numbers!', and the government has for sure.

When 315,000 thousand people have stopped looking for work because they have tried and tried and there are no jobs for them, that means there are 315,000 more people out of work,UNEMPLOYED, period!

Our government, I have no idea why, considers those people no longer in the the unemployment ranks. This is lunacy! This is a way to “smoke and mirror “ the uninformed and ignorant Americans who do not understand the government's methods of deception or those who just take whatever the government says as gospel.

OMG, and the lies. Obama said we have had 21 straight months of job creation, but in August, 2011, there were none whatsoever!!! Does he not know the real stats or is he lying once again. I pick the latter. His perpetual lying is a character flaw that will never change.

Now, the real stats!!!

Inflation = 6% and rising as long as the government prints money.

Real Unemployment = 11+%

Total Unemployment = 15.6%

Power Often Leads to Corruption

This is a letter sent out by Dudley Brown, Executive Director of National Association for Gun Rights. The gist of this whole letter is that if you allow a government official too much power and prestige, they feel that they are too elite and above the law. Politicians and other elected officials, as a group, have the most chances to be coerced into the temptation of accepting minor "compensations" as they serve their terms. There are some who have the willpower and proper sense of duty to not cross the line and continue to perform well for their country. Then, there are some who go overboard, lose their sense of decency, and become evil to the core. We have witnessed this type of behavoir in many officials over the decades, and this is the story of another:

One of the reasons I am so opposed to the government being involved in our Second Amendment rights is that it takes the power away from you and puts it in their hands.

In the hands of people like the former Republican Sheriff of Arapahoe County, Colorado, Patrick Sullivan. He has made a habit of helping out groups like the Brady Campaign when it came to preventing law-abiding citizens from exercising their Second Amendment rights.

He even testified before Congress for Handgun Control in favor of the Brady bill.

During his 18-year tenure as Arapahoe County Sheriff, Sullivan was a poster boy for big government and was bestowed the title of national “Sheriff of the Year” in 2001 for his efforts at infringing our 2^nd amendment rights -- even at a national level.

Whenever she needed him, Sarah Brady trotted out Sheriff Pat Sullivan as a token Republican who wanted to impose gun control on America -- and it worked. Our nation still lives under the insidious scheme of the Brady Act (which, incidentally, violates the Constitutional prohibition of infringing on the right to keep and bear arms). It is the cornerstone of most gun controls laws and policies..

Sheriff Sullivan was also famous for trying to buy off local Colorado gun rights activists with a “buddy” concealed carry permit (when permits were almost impossible to acquire). In 1995 Sullivan offered a gun activist a permit, attempting to buy his inactivity in the battle for concealed carry in Colorado.

On Tuesday Sullivan was arrested for dealing meth to a drug-dealing, male prostitute-seeker.

Former Sheriff Sullivan is now sitting in the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility. That’s right. He’s sitting in the jail named for his honor (How Ironic, eh?).

And this is the kind of person the Brady Campaign champions and used to testify as an “expert”? (Another person not well vetted by the left. Um, who could be the other?)

I would like to tell you that I’m shocked, but you’re smart enough to know better. This is why I am always skeptical of any politician who seeks more control, not less. They are out for personal gain and they will get it at your expense.

Sheriff Sullivan has trampled on citizen's rights for years. He was one of the main obstacles to passing concealed carry in Colorado.

Yet apparently the anti-gun crowd thinks men like this should set a standard for who can own a gun and who can’t.

While this may be dismissed by some as just another corrupt cop, the fact is that he has been personally involved in the fight against your Second Amendment rights.

And he was successful at it.

It’s a pure travesty of justice that a man like Sullivan could be given such authority to prevent you from your own rights, but without standing up to power, it’s like I said at the beginning -- it corrupts.

I make it my pledge to you, the gun owner, to stand up against jack-booted thugs like Patrick Sullivan at every turn, regardless of position or party affiliation.

John Ransom, Townhall Finance Daily, has stood up and told it like it is as well. The corruption of politicians and their continued thumbing their noses at the very constituents they represent should get them jail sentences, but their peers will only slap their wirsts knowing full they may get their turn soon.
